holy shit this is good
why does he suck now?

>dat file size
Amazing album. Maybe full-length albums is not his thing
>>71158046
but that's his worst and he's been getting better
>>71158142
lol no
Was 2016 the worst year for music in recent memory? Is Bon Iver's album the only 2016 album worth keeping? I don't think I've listened to anything else from 2016 since 2017 started
I thought 2016 was a pretty good year
Angel Olsen, Mitski, Car Seat Headrest, Radiohead, Nick Cave, David Bowie and Jeff Rosenstock all had good albums in my opinion.
>>71157983
It was better than the last couple. You've probably just hit your twenties properly and entered your jaded phase of music fandom
If you digged this and could accept what was done on the album then you should be appreciating other things from that year.
There's no "terrible year" because every month a lot of albums are released; you're simply just not listening to the right music.
You're most likely sticking too a handful of bands/artist and just hoping their album was killer for that year.
Does /mu/ like this album?

GET BACK
GET BACK
Too slow, needs more PCP!
I saw someone post this meme a month ago. I thought it was ok. Pretty corny but it has a charm to it.
ITT: The most skippable album in a band's discography
>not pet sounds
>he doesn't love 15 year old Carl's version of Summertime Blues
What's the point of even posting on this board? Like, we don't even discuss real music here, and the only things that ever garner any attention are autistic shitposts about /mu/core. Any time real discussion is hinted at, opinions are immediately shot down by you contrarian shitlords. Let's bring it on home, back to the roots of what it is to be a music lover. How do you guys feel about jam music?
Pic related
is this your first time on 4chan? by all means, steering discussion towards a positive direction is great, but making metathreads/whining is just inviting shitposts and insults
phish sucks by the way
get back to your bong hippie!
Phish 93 thru 2000 is good. And only live shows. Any jam over the 20 minute mark is usually worth listening to. Other then that they suuuuck real bad. I swear to go they have some of the jivest song writing ever post break up in 03. Like fucking backwards down the number line and shit like that is soooo fucking dumb. They still have about 4 jams worth listening to per tour but thats about it.
Good guy: Was the main force behind their best works
Bad guy: Was a complete cunt to the rest of the band after he left
Lou Reed

FLEXXX YOUR MUUUSCLESSSS
BE HARRRD
BE STRROOONG
Why does everyone on /mu/ adore "Turn On The Bright Lights" when "Antics" is 10x better?
>>71334294
never go full retard anon
El Pintor is better than both.
Well, maybe not better than TOTBL
>>71334478
>>71334324
Explain why TOTBL is good. Honestly can't find a single remarkable song on the tracklist.
Im not sure if this is the place to do it, but I'm trying to find a particular song. It's a sort of indy/feelsy type song, in the video there's just a guy playing drums but he's got lights strapped up all around himself and the room that change color as the song progresses. Anyone have any idea?
>>71156979
Is this movie any good?
>>71157064
It's ok for most of the movie but you're kinda sitting there waiting for something to happen then it ends
>>71157064
I enjoyed it. It's not really formatted like a lot of movies today, and its not hard to see why it wasn't all that well known. Michael Cera plays a hard to like douche bag who steals an old ladies cactus to get high off peyote. its something to watch.
Why was he so anti-violence?
who is "pro-violence"
>>71334235
nazis. and people that think punching them will solve a single thing
>>71334235
Alot of people in the hardcore scene actually encourage very violent moshing at shows, you fucking pretentious faggot
DUDE REVERB LMAO
I enjoy this album.
Reverb makes everything better
Great fucking album
I miss cheap MP3 players being the standard for portable music. They were way comfier than cassettes and smartphones.
They still exist, are you really nostalgic for something from a few years back that has hardly changed?
except they were never the "standard," just a stopgap for getting an iPod
>>71156511
I feel yeah. I feel that streaming services for the death of widespread DAP use.
Thoughts?
This actually grew on me and I like it just a much as Whenever, If Ever.
"Whenever, If Ever" is just so much better
>>71157989
Why? :(
>>71158014
I dunno 100% why. "Whenever, If Ever" just has this charm to it for me, like a random garage band accidently tapped into something much larger than they realized. It's the perfect length and feels like a really thought out, true album with a beginning, middle, and end. I appreciate "Harmlessness" for its ambition but it feels bloated.
I'm also a pleb who thinks "Whenever, If Ever" is one of the best albums of the decade, so what do I know.
Morbidly curious?? Roll to get one of these BEAUTIFUL masterpieces of music, come back and give your thoughts.
