Political tracks aren't always smooth and easy to listen to, sometimes they're loud and in your face, the message might not be want you want to hear but it's something you need to hear.
Mike is the only one brave enough to say what we're all thinking.
Either it be a really early phase of their career that they regret, or when they've hit rock bottom. Post pictures that are just embarrassing.
He looks like a Swedish hooker lol

How did Have a Nice Life become popular among the lofi, underground, post punk public? Was /mu/ involved in it? I'd like to know what platform was used that made them popular with such an obscure kind of sound. I'm asking this because I'm working on an EP and I don't know where to share it other than the obvious ones (band camp, YouTube, soundcloud etc. Any suggestions?

love it. love him. hoping for a full album soon
This isn't a meme, it's literally my favorite Metallica album.
All of their albums are buttrock, this one cranks that up to volume 10 and sounds exactly the documentary of it would lead you to believe it sounds
"Frantic" and "St Anger" are both catchy, headbanging and funny as hell
it's a good album. lyrics are clumsy and the songs are generally a bit bloated, but there's tremendous anger, tremendous ugliness. this and lulu are the best things metallica has done in years.

HARDCORE IS A RELIGION
Why did the '70s punk scene love reggae so much? i've heard the john lydon (sex pistols, public image inc) say reggae was one of his biggest influences and that reggae was his favorite music, also bands like the clash said reggae was a big influence. i will say i have never listened to much reggae so maybe its just me but i dont really understand the connection from reggae to punk.
>>71207953
there was like some kind of underground cultural connections between jamaica and the uk vis a vis colonization. i dunno beyond that try reading wikipedia, the article on ska should be informative as ska is like the combination of punk and reggae iirc
because of typical leftist white guilt
>>71208001
just looked it up im pretty wrong i was thinking of third wave ska but the first and second waves of ska had nothing to do with punk rock
