What's the difference between grime and dubstep?
everything
>>71268627
Such as? I thought they originated out of the same music and had a similar sound.
>>71268557
dubstep is instrumental 140bpm music with hard kicks and subs, generally with a snare on every 3rd beat of a bar, produced by introverted white dudes
grime is extroverted black men from the United Kingdom rapping over 140bpm instrumentals, which may or may not include dubstep
example of a grime/dubstep crossover

I've been interested in Bulgarian harmonies and songs since listening to the opening track of Ghost in the Shell. The notes are very haunting and beautiful.
What are some good Bulgarian vocal songs/groups? How do I into Bulgarian harmony?
ya boy jeff got you covered

Le Mystère des voix bulgares have done some pretty cool stuff in their Volume releases.

One of the most loved releases here is one by The Bulgarian Voices Angelite teaming up with Moscow Art Trio and Tuvan Throat singer guys Huun-Huur-Tu in a live album called Fly Fly My Sadness. Really cool combination of varying folk styles as well as what you're looking for.

their first album.
also, their fanbase is pretty annoying.
one of the best prog rock/metal bands of the 21st century, no doubt.
>>71268048
What's wrong with their fans?
this is the best bjǿrk album.
>>71267879
It's either that or this. Somehow all her albums starting with V are her best.
Vespertine > Debut > Post > Homogenic > Vulnicura > Volta > Medulla > Biophilia

Why does Metal have such a negative stigma attached to it?
Neckbeards
>>71267842
I was probably because of Metallica making metal popular enough for normie losers to get there greasy fingers on it.
P.S. I really miss SBFP, I used to watch that shit all the time back in high school.
The fans
What the fuck? You fucks told me that the Beatles were normie pleb shit, but I just listened to pic related and In My Life is the most beautiful thing I have ever listened to.
>>71267814
Beatles are normie patrician shit
proof that the human race, on the whole, has good taste

what a dumb fucking bitch, what was she thinking? Was she trying to be "funny" and seem "young" and modern? Truly a pathetic woman
I feel like this is the best place to ask because fuck going to /g/ or /tv/.
How does FLAC compare to Dolby Digital? Even if DD is lossy, it's still better than MP3 to the point of previously the standard in cinema. Also, how does DD True HD compare to 640kbps Digital?
>standard in cinema
home cinema/entertainment is the keyword here
baseline ac3 dolby houses a shitty old ass codec comparable to 192kbit mp3 and the only benefit is that it can encode up to 6 channels for surround use, it's been useless since the early DVD age though, most DVD releases have 48/24 uncompressed pcm surround.
for the higher tier dolby formats and dts hd master audio: lossless compression is lossless. of course totally comparable to flac, but these kinds of formats can carry certain identification/subtitle/timecode/sync metadata and the containers can stack multiple multichannel tracks for different languages making the movie post workflow easier
of course completely pointless for music, especially in stereo

>192kbit mp3 and the only benefit is that it can encode up to 6 channels for surround use
I'm not some autistic audiophile but that sounds disgusting.
>most DVD releases have 48/24 uncompressed pcm surround.
I thought PCM was mainly an early Blu-Ray thing, even then most of it was compressed to an extent.
>of course completely pointless for music, especially in stereo
Yeah, aside from niches like live shows on Blu-Ray but I think a few albums were remastered in surround. King Crimson had their debut in 5.1, I believe.
>>71267484
in general, a higher bitrate is better and a higher bit depth is better
but unless you have really great speakers/headphones and good ears you probably wont notice much difference between anything above 320 kb/s
What do you think of this guy's music.
Do you think hiring this guy for your game soundtrack would be worth it?
