What are some releases with lyrics you absolutely love?
The genre doesn't matter. I'm simply looking to hear some great lyricism. :^)
So many great lines throughout this one.

How do you start making your own music
do you just take a shit on a keyboard until it sounds good? I don't understand
>>71522520
If you don't know music theory then yeah, that's what it's pretty much like.
how the fuck do I produce music DAWs are so expensive and daunting
I knew how to compose music when I was 5 or 6, but I can't do anything now.

How to get best experience out of music and how you enjoy you music.
I personally like to collect some new music to my playlist at the day time and then at the evening i meditate and after that i shut lights and get comfy on my bed or couch. Then i start to play music from my playlist or from some album. I do the same when im stoned or on psychedelics. I also have synesthesia which gets stronger on drugs and i have had egodeaths and experience merging to the music.
sry my bad english
I listen music usually only when i can truly focus on it.
>>71522740
depends on what music
i used to be very strict about this with classical music. like i would only listen to a piece if i could follow the score and fortunately with the music library at my the college i went to i could just rent out scores of whatever i wanted and i would only do it if i had time for all the movements of a piece like i wouldn't just listen to movements.
but like there are some great records for a very different kind of experience like if im stoned and just driving around or maybe talking to a friend or something i just want to listen to an album for the vibe of it and just have it on in the background. even if i'm like alone in silence some music isn't about intently focusing like can or something its about the vibe they create, not to say that studying can closely is bad, its definitely not, but some music like that or even like electronic music like the aphex twins select ambient works or like i care because you do, its more about the mental place you get to by just letting the music do its thing instead of like getting all micro and listening with focus

In this thread: albums that exposed capitalism for what it truly is.
capitalism is my bae
love CORPORATE POP STARS, hate TRUMP
I like most other people who could be lumped into the so called "rockist" attitude have basically written of the entirety of electronic music as being boring lifeless computer music. What is a way that I can look at this music differently that might help me understand why it has been so relevant for decades now? I want either your own personal thoughts or maybe some links to articles explaining it. Im not trying to force myself to like it or anything like that its just that when a type of music can be so beloved by so many and yet completely escape my understanding, it doesnt sit right with me
You only need one album to learn to appreciate electronic music, Geogaddi.

The Pod
>What's your least favorite album?
La Cucaracha
>Are you going to see them live this year?
Saw them in the 90s. Saw them last year and I wish I hadn't. There's something to be said for musicians to kill themselves before they get old.
>Thoughts on their solo work?
Meh. Deaner goes too hardcore and Gene is too folk.
>What's your favorite song(s)?
Demon Sweat, Happy Colored Marbles, Morning Glory (just kidding).

Oh, fuck off. I love Mourning Glory

How do I recognize "influences" in music?
very carefully
>>71521773
What is she looking at?
>>71521773
You can't.
There's no way to be influenced by someone without ripping them off.
why pitchfork likes him so much?
>>71521695
He is good, pleb
at the risk of sounding like a virgin ass cracker
he's a black jew
his music is alright, I don't really like Views because its a shameless Americanized version of dancehall on a lot of tracks but the production is pretty tight at points
>>71521695
You can't deny he was fairly good before Views. Even Views had like 3 or 4 nice songs.
