So now since Chuck Berry is dead I thought it was time for a new musical revolution. Anybody got any ideas what's gonna happen next?

History is bound to repeat it self and I believe something raw and real will be coming up next. It has already started in some places but the next big thing will focus big on raw production and human emotions. Since alot of modern popular music is very overproduced and alot of pop is starting to run out of ideas for lyrical themes and sounds.

What are you guys thoughts? I sure hope it won't minimalistic sjw rap for another 10 years

I'm thinking garage rock is going to have another mainstream resurgence with a bigger emphasis on lofi production then when it hit in the early 00's.

early 00s garage rock was purely aesthetic, neither the strokes nor the vines nor the arctic monkeys nor the white stripes were actually fucking garage rock. the only real garage rock act from the early 00s was jay reatard.

and yet i do see your point from '10 forwards garage rock and lo fi has been coming in really strong, and not bad in my opinion.

Also mediocre is not that bad. The highlights remind me of the Kinks, but there are quite some songs that don't stand out much.
