ITT: We nominate albums for a "Best Album of All Time" tournament, where 128 albums will compete for the title of /mu/'s favorite.
Let's get some nominations
>post an album in this thread that you want to see in the tournament
>if it gets four replies, it goes in
>this will happen until we get 128 albums
The template I'll be using: >>71688498
Are multiple nominations OK?

help i have voices of patrician ghosts in my head trying to tell me not everything is equal stop it stop it shut up! get out!
being a music fan in current year is depressing if you use the internet. you'll see kids discovering things they'd never have access to in a lifetime - had they grown up as early as 10 years ago. eclecticty is currency, and apparently everyone of this generation has a black metal phase, a trip-hop phase, a 90s emo phase, etc etc. a little bit of knowledge about everything, but it all feels so soulless. we now have access to nearly all the world's stores of recorded music, so why does it feel like music isn't worth a damn anymore? just the other day my 14-year old brother asked me if i knew anything about The Cure, Amebix, or Bob Marley. what the fuck. he didn't get any of that from my parents, they listen to Chris Isaak and Jimmy Buffet. is he really connecting with any of this stuff on a level that affects him? does he think it's cool? music isn't fucking cool. i don't get laid because i like music. no one takes me seriously because i know things about music. that shit doesn't matter, it's just mental wallpaper.
It's good that more people are knowledgeable with music, hopefully it will produce good things within the collective consciousness

It's true though, everything is a 24 hour fad now. No-one has any real cultural experiences anymore.
How I start playing an electronic keyboard?
>>71688311
You start by turning it on.
put your fingers on the keys so they make noise
>>71688316
Then pressing the keys.
Really tricky, huh.
This is unironically the greatest song ever written.

Not the best Eiffel 65 song but their album Europop is pretty much a masterpiece.
It's 1999 the sound. Yes I know Cassius had an album called 1999, that sounded more like 1997.
I mean they had a song about the fucking Playstation 1. Can you top that?

GOAT taste my african-american brother
I don't understand electronic music. It has too many subgenres
OK?
Yeah, I mean rock is easy
hard rock - rock but harder
soft rock - rock but soft
prog rock - rock but longer and with trumpets and shit
But what the fuck does 'garage' mean? Or fucking 'jungle' or 'house', then electro-house and french house and future garage and holy shit I don't know what's what anymore
>>71688114
Rock has more.
Contemporary electronic music has 7.
Techno
House
Breaks
Trance
UKGarage
Downtempo
Ambient
