How is this album not talked about more?!?!?
Literally the goat punk album
This album is better
it's a solid but when it comes to punk, I want really degenerate stupid shitty punk. stupider and shittier and degenerater than the sex pistols. shittier is better in punk. like GG Allin and The Germs
Nevermind The Bollock is nice but I see it more as a neat British update on glam rock. it's so full of stolen Johnny Thunders (and by extension Chuck Berry) riffs
It's a good album and I like it a lot, but it will always be stigmatized for being so popular and the fact that Sex Pistols were pretty much manufactured by a record label executive.
You know the deal
Listen to others, interact, spread the love, contribute to human society positively

Who does the best music interviews (hip hop or otherwise)?
I know a lot of people don't like Nardwuar, but his research is second to none, and his approach is the most unique I've seen.
do you think he ever found out anything blackmail worthy about an artist when he researched them
I always found Logic's' interviews to be pretty great.
>>71838854
i don't consider nardwuar interviews more like personality test to see whos cool or not.
far as hip hop the breakfast club is easily the best.
itt: pleb filters
Pleb here, who are these people?
I only recognize bottom left.
Dean Blunt and Arca are Top Tier, the fuck are you on?

I'm about halfway through Infinite Jest and I don't see the connection between the two at all.
I think you meant to post The Decemberists.

I don't follow critics because I can form my own opinions about things, no help needed, but there's an anon who has taken to posting this hack's reviews in almost every thread about any band and it occurs to me that Christgau is always wrong. Has he ever been right about anything? Because I haven't seen it.
>>71838656
The reason to follow critics isn't because you can't form your own opinions. Good critics help you form stronger opinions and understand WHY you have your opinions. Even if you disagree with the critic- a good critic should force you to think about WHY you agree or disagree.
Christgau is a shitty critic though.

Nobody cares, seriously.
What's the worst that would happen? It's just your face.
Give me sad/+angry music to deal with heartbreak, to deal with love for the piece of fucking shit that it is.

>Brian Wilson, Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Zappa, Coltrane, Hancock, Simon and Garfunkel, John Mayall, the Kinks, the Byrds
>and this is the best you could do
fucking lol, why is this band revered honestly
>>71838582
Paint it black is better than anything the Beatles put out in that year and before
Why are they widely considered to be the greatest band of all time?
THE
Because they made Tomorrow Never Knows in the fucking mid-sixties
People feel that they are supposed to like the Beatles even if they have never heard them. Entry level pleb shit. They were average at best but people with no musical knowledge feel that they have to say they are the greatest because they have heard so many other plebs say that. It's pathetic. The Beach Boys & The Band are the only true great groups.
+1
Actually, it was 1986-1995.
2003-2007 was not bad at all
