Is he a genius tier or meme tier?
What are your favorite songs of his? What do you like/dislike about him? Favorite album?
A little pretentious but not bad and seems a bit self aware

I literally just listened to So The Flies Don't Come tonight for the first time, I really liked it. Reminded me of Haiku D'Etat in certain ways. His flow seemed a little weird or preachy at times but I get the feeling he was being ironic or abstract at times I probably didn't realize, and I also read he makes a lot of references to literature and philosophy (which chances are I'm unfamiliar with). But the production and atmosphere were top tier.
Tell
What are you binging at the moment?

It's all a meme, the only reason Brian Wilson is popular on /mu/ is bc he was the autistic member so we can relate to him
Its summer in paradise but they are singing about cars
Albums start dropping in 21 hours. What's on your radar?

I want to see them do a cover of Soundgarden's "Jesus Christ Pose"
Bassists general?
>>71871538
invented a new style of guitar playing at age 17, which was then stolen and used as the entire basis for "The Edge's" whole career.
>>71871640
Oh shit. I've never seen any one else talk about how he was pretty much proto-Edge. I don't think he stole anything, but the similarities in style and approach are interesting. too bad he quit the band so early on.
How does /mu/ really feel about this record?
Some fantastic songs brought down by tons of filler.
A decent album, but not worthy of half of the praise it receives
Their best
>>71871542
What filler?
I'm fucking tired of the cynical hipsters in here who constantly shit on this for not being """"""REAL"""""" psych

*tubthumper
Shalo-Konichiwa, fellow music enthusists! Did anyone else hear that the Grammy winning band Gorillaz is coming out with a new album? I've already preordered 5 copies, any other goyi-fans of Gorillaz want to match my purchase?
>Grammy winning band Gorillaz
When did that happen?

i'm so pissed i made that fucking happy merchant joke in that one thread that started this
>>71871198

what did people think of there new songs? I thought they where fine, but I'm a total gorillaz fag
>Hallelujah Money
Preddy good, reminds me of some of the calmer tracks from Plastic Beach
>Saturnz Barz
I didn't like the reggae singer, but i feel like they did a good job integrating his lyrics to the song. The part where 2D starts singing is quite dope.
>Andromeda
Pretty chill, but i think it's too poppy
>We Got the Power
Too poppy
>Ascension
Kinda bland, maybe i'm not into Vince Staples
Overall it's pretty aight . . . ?
