What was the best live performance ever and why was it Nirvana Unplugged in New York?

Because he killed himself shortly later

As much as that is an amazing live show, this one might challenge it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubqWbfg2elQ

"You're the only one for me"
"The party never stops"
"My heart is fucked up/falling apart"
>depressing, needy, exagerated shit about a woman leaving a man behind
My country is oversaturated with that type of music
We all agree this is the greatest King Crimson album, right?
>>71908945
No, some of us are faggots.
I'm pretty sure the ranking goes like this:
1. Court
2. Red
3. Larks
4. Discipline
It's not a bad album, despite being new wave-y shit
>>71909098
>new wave-y shit
Post a potential album cover, others guess what genre it fits

title
what do you look for in a song?
labels aside, how do you know if a song is good or bad?
>>71908724
There's no real universal answer for that.
But actually most of western music answer to a bunch of pre established criteria that were typified as "nice" by classical composers around 500 years ago. you would have to study a good deal of music theory to understand them.
Also, most people are uneducated musically and just learn to like what they hear during an emotional state
It's hard to say. Sometimes a song just irritates you for a reason you can't explain.
t. music either speaks to you or it doesn't and there's not a clear-cut scientific explanation for it

>t. music either speaks to you or it doesn't and there's not a clear-cut scientific explanation for it
actually, music theory can pinpoint exactly what is the stuff you find enjoyable in 99%
I always felt like Bob Dylan was my older brother, trying to clue me in to how the world works. Really enjoying the new album.
Rare interview with Bob about the album and where he's at these days.

This is becoming one of my favorite dylan phases for real, lush stuff
>>71908831
He's getting better at it. The Sinatra album was good, late night stuff, but this is, as you say, lush, smooth. Bob has cast off his edge, and let the music flow around him.
soft and sweet
>>71908647
let me hold it close and keep it here
