Post-Punk is really underappreciated on this board.
Ive been listening to The Raincoats, The Sound, The Chameleons, and Siouxsie and The Banshees a lot lately.
What are some post punk bands/albums you feel are underappreciated here?
The Raincoats are fantastic. Their sound is like a melting pot of post punk, twee pop, and the velvet underground.
>>71925893
They have fans here but not many. Solid band with a lot of good albums.

There's an ongoing, dedicated guitar and bass thread, but no thread for the backbone of the band?
All percussion, all genres welcome. Yes, even you losers with vibrophones. Yes, you pizza-faced blast beat addict metalheads. Yes, you up-your-own-ass jazz cats.
Talk gear, influences, projects, etc. Help me compile a list of resources like the guitar thread has.
post favorite drummers.

Here's a pic of my kit. No clue what brand the shells are, there's no branding in them. They came out of a crackhead's basement. Sabian hats, Paiste China, Zildjian Megabell ride, Stagg splash, Meinl Classic Dark crash (which is sick and highly recommemded) and Zildjian bell. Evans heads. I use sticks from a local stick maker called Rich Sticks. Good shit. Ask me about why my kit is set up like that.
As far as influences, Thomas Pridgen and Brann Dailor were early ones. Big fan of Darren Cesca, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Jean-paul Gasper, Dirk Verbeuren, and people who can do EDM sounding shit on an acoustic kit.

Dale cover is sick. The melvins stuff where they have 2 drummers live blows my mind. As some basement ass crust punk I can't imagine being that tight.

>reddit store day
I'd rather get headlice than buy a bunch of limited edition Record Store Day crap.
This constant flood of limited editions and gimmicks, used album prices through the goddamn roof, and bizarre reissues is like baseball cards or comic books in the 90s. It won't end well.
>>71935363
Let's also not forget:
>Lots of new record stores opening
>New pressing plants being built
It's going end horribly for people who don't get out soon.

Hey, so I'm a full advocate of favorites as albums rather than songs, it makes full sense for context and intention for the song, but what ARE your top 10 songs of all time?
