Any Impossible Nothing enthusiasts in here?
If so,
Fav track?
Phonemenomicon or Lexemenomicon?
Any idea on what's currently going on in the bandcamp page? What could "⊗" and "" mean?

3rd and 4th albums hopefully
>>72168901
yeah that's what I initially thought
it'd be a lil silly however to name tracks like Aaa or Cccc. Maybe they'll go with "Ab", "Bc", ... , "Za" or something?
>>72168901
I'd be fucking ecstatic if he released even just one more album.
like, listening to the first and second multiple times, there is SO MUCH content so each time feels like a new experience because you don't remember it all after one, two, or even three full listens
ITT: Albums that would be /mu/core if they weren't as popular
Popularity isn't a factor in /mu/core. Loveless, OKC, Kid A, and ITAOTS are among the most popular albums ever released.
>>72168928
>mentioned alot on /mu/ != most popular ever
most people I know have no idea those albums exist, furthermore, what he's saying is that people on /mu/ are just a bunch of contrarian hipsters who hate anything that is actually popular

Is this music from 2007 or music from 2007 that /mu/ would post about?
If the latter, then Graduation doesn't belong here. /mu/ didn't listen to Kanye til the critics told them to (MBDTF)

what criticisms are there of this band, I want to hear something legitimate so I don't continue this obsession without someone else's opinion
>inb4 pretensions acidheads thinking fucking around with music genre and theme is dumbb
it's not wrong, pretty good band.
>>72168249
what are your favorite albums of theirs right now?
just watch that youtube video of winters love live where they're just strumming and yelling autistically
Post tracks that (you think) nobody else here has heard before.
Also, mention the genre.

Grimes is the artist of the decade.
Never stop caring anon.

Is Chronic 2001 the only audiophile approved hip hop album in terms of mastering?
Don't think so. Every Eminem album is pretty perfect too. He's the G O A T anyway, so that's probably why.
>>72168100
considering most mastering engineers use it as a reference for hip hop tracks, yes.
>>72168190
For real? Sounds interesting. Got a source?
DNA, Yah, Pride, Lust and Fear may very well be the best tracks he's ever recorded. Unfortunately loyalty and god are easily the worst tracks he's put out since s.80.. I think the biggest disappointment is the half hearted concept he was trying to pull off.. There are just too many tracks that have nothing to do with the overall theme and it makes the entire concept feel cheap and tacked on. With all that said though this is still a very good album and I'd go as far to say that it's not that far behind GKMC and TPAB. I just wish he trimmed the fat.. I think if you remove Loyalty, element and god.. You'd have almost a perfect album on your hands.
>>72168040
God and loyalty are better than YAH dumbass

GOD is amazing
Red House Painters or Sun Kil Moon?
I see that there are a lot of fans of both bands but when it comes down to it if you had to pick a favorite what would it be? Sure Mark has gone to say that the two bands are basically the same thing but that quickly changed after the first Sun Kil Moon album in my opinion.
https://strawpoll.com/5f63y1w
there's no meaningful difference in the way that you're trying to suggest that there is. you're essentially asking whether we prefer his earlier work or his later work, and I personally think that his last few SKM albums -- Benji, Universal Themes, and Common as Light... are amongst the best of all time.
RHP by far
>>72167937
Well not necessarily. Both bands have different members. So you know, it would for example be fair to ask whether or not one likes Paul McCartney's solo material or his songs with the Beatles. In that same way I think it's fair to ask whether one prefers Red House Painters or Sun Kil Moon, seeing as the Red House Painters music was not entirely created by Mark same goes for Sun Kil Moon.
The Chainsmokers was good, I enjoyed #SELFIE, ROZES, Don't Let Me Down and Closer. But after Closer, The Chainsmokers is just an annoying duo who thinks they're gonna stay successful and relevant. After "All We Know" it seemed like they were gonna fail if Spotify didn't give them a boost and let them stay on Today's Top Hits. Heck, there's services like Deezer and Napster that keep on there but still have songs like Don't Let Me Down. And after Paris, I just want to say that these guys are dead. There trying to hard to be successful and then they make fun of Gaga. And as much hate as I'm going to get for saying these 2 things, I don't like Lady Gaga that much but I thought her two songs from Joanne showed a strong message. Like a million reasons and shit.. but then I heard The Chainsmokers diss her like, bitch you try to stay relevant by posting a song every other week..
Should they just go away?
YEP, they should. They're more dead than Madonna (actually not true, but you get my point)
They were good for summer, but they're just horrible now. Especially now since, they're music is trash. We like them because of their beat drops at like .25 seconds of the song, not because there trying to spread a message - from a guy that's ranting about the chainsmokers in the wrong place
>I enjoyed #SELFIE, ROZES, Don't Let Me Down and Closer
oh my fucking god get off my board
>I enjoyed #SELFIE
isn't that supposed to be intentionally un-enjoyable
