Not embarrassing at all. Passionate collectors and music enthusiast, assuming they are not pretentious, have a charm all of their own.

To anyone interested in virtuoso drummer, punk pioneer and industrial visionary John Murphy (1959-2015):
mega.nz/#!fswDRSBJ!ijbzN0xh8dV5Z2AazgcEelMAYnb2kS9uk-0NX95xWRg
This archive comprises all of Murphy's solo work (Shining Vril) gathered from many neofolk / post-industrial compilations and "All My Sins Remembered", a 2016 commemorative compilation made by friends and colleagues of Murphy featuring among others Nikolas Schreck, :Of The Wand And The Moon:, Blood Axis, SPK, Genocide Organ, Die Weisse Rose and Andrew King. Profits were donated to Murphy's wife to cover for medical and funeral expenses.
Some tastes of his work:

I very much recommend his and Nikolas Schreck's performance "In her thrall" for a demonstration of his capabilities as an improvising live musician:

Music has been frozen in this awful era of meme rap poptamism and refuses to do something new and its been like that for like 5 years. I think we need something refreshing that isnt some ultra nigger booty dance music or white girl slut/feminist pop.
Maybe thats why despacito is big? *shrugs
I think we need a massive shift in the type of music thats popular. I think we need someone to take a risk, i want the top 40 to be like dream pop meets vapor wave, meets shoegaze, i want the top 40 to sound like you fell face first into a water fountain at a mall in the 80's and you can hear the malls music being played over the intercom.
I think this world could be a lot more interesting but people prefer profit over creativity, especially now.
Look man popular music and radio shit is almost never gonna be about creativity.
It almost NEVER was, just look at the top 40s during any point of time it was probably shit just like it is now.

Thoughts on the holy trinity of Jazz? And how it become.
I think Kind of Blue is awfully tedious. I guess it's just a personal flaw nobody cares.
>>75038334
The holy Trinity of Jazz is Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, and Charlie Parker.
>>75038397
Charlie Parker is a dick fuck him.

>It’s a matter of taste I know but, personally, I was well miffed to see OK Computer atop the Q ‘100 Greatest Albums Of All Time’. I’m a fan of records, not bands. There’s even stuff that The Beatles did which I wouldn’t bother replacing if they were robbed off me. The Bends is a great record, but OK Computer and Amnesiac… I really don’t see what all the fuss is about. There’s nothing on ‘em that wasn’t being done by Faust 25-years ago.

Is Grimes /mu/core or just an outsider?
>>75037819
remember kids, /mu/core isn't based on quality its based on what's popular on the board
and given the number of grimes threads I'd say yes
>>75037840
/mu/ core is the top of the line shit that everyone on here loves.
Not everyone here loves Grimes' music. I would say she walks the line between /mu/core and plen
>>75037819
She's literally a natural born artist who crawled straight out of the dark underbelly of the musical underground and earn her way to the top through sheer love and devotion of music and songwriting.
