>AND HE HITS THAT BITCH
I didn't know until I was a much older person that this is kind of based on Ob La Di. The music video cracked me up as a kid tho

Hip hop
Is there anything else like this out there?
And by that i mean basically acoustic guitars and mellow pianos paired with synths and kind of a low fi vibe and mostly no percussion.
The artists closest to this style of music i know of are Grouper, Julianna Barwick and i guess Phil Elverum
album cover interested me so I looked up a song
holy shit this is beautiful

And so many people
Nasal rap is increasingly popular in mainstream music today and it's no coincidence. Rap, a formerly masculine and "threatening" genre has finally found its voice, one which can resonate with those who were once alienated by the art form in the past. The votes are in, and the high pitched voice of teenage girls, effeminate nu-males, underdeveloped manlets and sniveling nerds (the largest demographics contributing to this genre's record sales and streaming figures) overwhelmingly prefer nasal rap to regular rap.

smoke a blunt and drink codeine and you will see the appeal. its like stoner metal. you have to be on the level of the artist. or at least in spirit. hodahalwadube
>>72252459
so what you're saying is that it's bad music
>>72252502
he's not a bad rapper, he's a pretty good rapper, in terms of ability I'd say he is the best mainstream rapper out now since Kanye is past his prime now. He sounds like a little bitch though, not what he's saying or anything, but just on an innate and immutable level. I feel like I'm listening to an elf or something. I think major labels are trying to emasculate rap and make it more safe and accessible to households the world over with former nickelodeon stars (drake) and now this little dude.

Get the Knack is fun in a silly way but it's kind of on the low end of things
>>72252155
Check out this: came across it randomly a year ago and it's really good power pop
>>72252252
I've heard this before. Idk, Get The Knack is a flash in the pan album. A near 10/10 by a band that never did anything significant ever again.
Why are people so afraid to admit that this album doesn't live up to his previous works? Not only that, it's mediocre. Bloggers are bigging up this album more than tpab.
>>72252051
>a corporate mainstream artist gets a lot of attention and doesn't get bad reviews

This is literally Kendrick's 'Yeezus' album. Wtf is he doing /mu/?
>>72251870
>This is literally Kendrick's 'Yeezus' album.
it's literally not
It's a lot worse than Yeezus. It's not even an interesting experiment. There's a lot of chaotic sounds on here but the end result is shockingly bland. It's more like Life of Pablo. At least on Yeezus the songs feel like songs and not just stuff best left on the editing floor.
It's not experimental. It's just mediocre.
IT'S COMING
holy shit give it a rest.
besides, you KNOW GKMC was his last good album.
He's a one trick pony
>>72251865
we wish
