Ok it's time to do this thread.
here's some rules to make this thread not terrible:
>one note per post, you can choose any instrument (i might not do super obscure ones), the default one is Ableton's Grand Piano
>special requests get fulfilled only if you get dubs, else your request gets read by a shitty TTS (up to 5 seconds)
>first one do get dubs can choose BPM (or first one to get dubs and actually choose it) (range: 60-240)
OP will deliver (audio only)
i cum in the fuck

That doesn't sound anything like boards of canada.

It's claimed to have been found. I have an mp3 of it from some guy who found the cassette in a thrift shop but the fuck knows if it's real.
Even the band isn't sure what it sounds like. The mp3 has a voice that sounds just like the Mt Zion singer, but the quality is awful.
>less catchy than Kanye, OutKast, Jay-Z, etc.
>more offensive lyrics than all of them
>not as good as any of them
>still outsells them all by a wide margin (21 million copies of The Marshall Mathers LP)
It's because he's white, isn't it?
Couple factors.
1. Yes, he's white. Majority of America is white therefore it's easier to identify and can sell easier.
2. The album was funny but also had some heavy themes.
3. Flow and production were better than most safe for Kanye and early OutKast.
I mean, yeah
name anyone before Em who went at people the way he did? Em was Meme rap before Meme rap. but he was actually funny with the delivery. and with nice wordplay, and so much attention from the hating media, that just propelled him even further with the generation.

This one is even better:

>am i a normie?
Yes. That said, good song, but it's not even the best off that album
>>72260230
>am i a normie?
no, this song is great
how do you all go about checking out new albums? do you listen to some albums till you're familiar with them (like 1-5 at a time for example), listen to full albums once and decide off that, listen to part of an album and see if you like it, or do you just hoard music and listen to whatever?
i'm trying to get a more organized method of approaching new music.
>pic related
listening to music shouldnt be a fucking chore
listen to what you want when you feel like it, otherwise youll drain all the joy out of it
I sit and listen to a full album
If a like it I listen it again
if not I don't
see u next week

They're really good live (seen'em twice) and have some nice tunes.
I'm hopeful they'll develop well and not be lead astray (they v young after all).
and here's a beast of a track https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z40Cs5i-MM0

more like this / piano-heavy jazz ?
keith jarrett - koln concert
>youtube recommended list
best to get that out the way because you'll get ass blasted into infinity because of this
you're probably really new to Jazz so dig into Bill Evans, Herbie's earlier work and Monk for good measure
>>72259592
Not sure if this is what you're looking for but this band is pretty piano heavy. This album in particular.
Is it possible for music to be edgy without being embarrassing?
damn...
>>72259487
wow...
No, but it's possible to listen to edgy music in private once you accept the shame of what a huge faggot you are. There's shit I like that I would never recommend to people.
Ok just gotta get this off my chest.
Why do bands like these still tour?
In the last year and a half these fags have squeezed themselves into three concerts, opening for Volbeat, Killswitch and a music fest featuring Ghost and Slayer.
They are old as fuck and sound like shit, I just don't understand
>>72259443
They don't sound like shit at all. I'm not really a fan of their music but they're a great opening band, I saw them open for Lamb of God last year, they're energetic and the crowd loved them. (While booing another opening metal band that's popular on /mu/.)
>>72259443
they don't sound like shit at all, their 2013 Chile concert vid sounded great.
They still tour bc they have a lot more fans now, and can tour countries they didn't before
is their og singer back? i just hated the buttrock vocals
