Thoughts on this album? Did it surpass TDOP?
The Death of Pablo is shit so yeah it surpassed it
>>72293628
Overall it's pretty good but the vocals are too often weak
>>72293743
I agree
I only did instrumental work on it because I can't sing
why is nobody talking about this?

Everyone knows Houston and Chicago are the new hot spots in rap.

Because guitar solos are literally exclusively for masturbatory self-indulgent faggots. Perfect for Zappa.
>>72294077
how is it different from any other form of improvisation?

can we actually have a decent PRG for once?
Discuss new finds/ untraditional P-Rock, as well as classics.
What albums have you discovered recently that are noteworthy?
>>72293377
yeah explosions in the sky are pretty good
sftb is the only consistent post rock album. post rock has become a blanket term to define a band without a clear genre name

Get your crescendo shit out of here.
>/mu/dditor calls song ""deep""
>it's only because of the lyrics

How has no one made a Nick Drake version of this?
>>72293077
I remember seeing one a long time ago. I don't think it was that good so it probably hasn't been reposted a lot.

I recently started learning drums. The problem is, I don't really know how to learn them the most efficiently. I'm teaching myself through youtube and playing along to songs, but I click random tutorials in random orders. I think this lack of order is hindering my learning so I progress very slowly. Does anyone have any handy guides in how to tackle learning drums? Or just good channels, videos, techniques, even general drum-based musics are helpful.
This can be a drums general too.
Just spam rudiments. It's not very fun but it's the fastest way. There's a million online resources for this sort of thing
>>72292976
People will probably disagree with me but drumming along to Beatles tracks is a great way to get a solid foundation. Ringo uses very simple, repetitive beats and fills, easy enough for a beginner to use but very effective. A great way to understand the very basics.
Get a copy of Stick Control and learn rudiments. Play along to a metronome at slow enough speeds to play everything flawlessly before increasing your speed.
Pop/Rock: Drum Play-Along by Hal Leonard is good too.
ITT: overrated shit mainstream that's still really good and fun to listen too

this is some unique stuff. your voice sounds really good when doing spoken word. it'd be interesting to hear the progression of your sound. i like that reverse effect you're using too!

Leaving feedback for whatever interests me, might get slowed down when someone's album is too good for me not to listen to the whole thing.
