He writes amazing lyrics... oh wait never mind...
Well at least he still makes his own beats and produces his own tracks right?... hold on a sec... he has a whole team help him with that too....
But... ummm.... he can play instruments really good! ......whats that?...... all the guitars and drums in his songs are samples!?!?
Hmmm... well..... he can still rap super good, that has to count for something right? oh... wait.... shit... forgot that he uses autotune.....

He is the greatest, kendrick credits people for as little as putting input while in the studio or something.
They aren't writing his bars lol, actually there was a pretty funny story about this when kendrick was on tour with eminem
>hates on white people and complains about them stealing black culture
>samples slav jazz on Duckworth
BRAVO KENDRICK
>>72413332
>They aren't writing his bars lol
Sure. That's why they're credited as writers.
Why does /mu/ hate 808s and Heartbreak?
I like this album a lot

This album has received critical acclaim as being one of the greatest albums released this century thus far.
But I don't get it.
What's the album cover supposed to be a picture of?
Thanks in advance,
Jonaxan
It's a physical disc known as a CD with some tape over it.
Fun fact: It's actually Madlib's CD.
It's a disc
i see even the 2067 people haven't discovered how to be a true patrician
Give me a good reason why you hate The Fall
I'll tell you why i like it: it features great guitar work, simple catchy riffs, amazing vocals, little pink plastic bags is full on Gorillaz beast mode, Amarillo is a fucking Anthem, even if it seems like an incoherent piece of work, every single song fits so nicely into the next one.
it's a solid 8
Plastic Beach > Gorillaz > The Fall > Demon Days
and i'd love to hear why you think otherwise
>>72412828
Plastic Beach >>> Gorillaz >>>>>>>>> Demon Days > The Fall >>>>>> Humanz
There's no good melodies on it, besides the chorus to Hillbilly Man, which is kind of memetic.
I don't hate them but there are much better post-punk bands
What are some bands with noisy and/or heavy arrangements, but well-written pop songwriting underneath it?
Pic related being an obvious example

torche have some poppy songs

One day I might ask you out - for a split release.
But at the moment I have to meet a deadline for some academic stuff so I will be somewhat lazy with feedback. But I might be able to listen to some releases while writing.

This album is fucking amazing. Still not as good as STGSTV, but I finally understand the hype.
I guess I started this thread so each and everyone of you can congratulate me.
It's better than STGSTV actually

If anyone needs proof that rym is a shit website full of plebs who cant into noise yet feel the need to rate it anyway, you only need to look at the rating of this album.
>>72412489
Yeah that's dumb as shit.
Why do morons rate music that they don't understand?
good techno to listen to on e?
already done it before and know some good music already just want some of /mu/ recommendations.
just techno?
have some subgenres of techno that are good
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1IX5s8uCNI
>>72412765
Not him, but yes, just techno. If this turns into a trance fest the thread will turn to shit.
Anyone seeing them this summer?
I'm from Vermont and a lot of old hippie guys here love them (for obvious reasons). I don't mind them or anything, but I was never really that impressed.
>>72412249
They're a group that I think is often overrated by their hardcore fans, but severely underrated by /mu/ and mainstream music critics
Phish has the worst fans of any band ever.
>feel my semen cry
What the fuck did she mean by this
>>72412141
>she

>she-men cry
Is there any other comparably influential guitarists?

Did Bizkit coin the term "chocolate starfish"? if so, they should be praised.
Great riffs by the best nu-metal guitarist and very catchy melodies
Rollin' and My Generation are fucking GOAT
