You know the drill , you have to post a screenshot that you are listening to it and thoughts on it after you finished it. Because just posting without discussion is ass

I hope you aren't triggered by Christian themes, and listen to the remaster for a better experience.
This again?
The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.

While I'm also going through Woolite's sweet albums, I also wanted to steal Mark And's idea because I liked it a lot. As in, a mini song tourney.
Recommend songs of 4 minutes at most this round.
Three entrants will get eliminated the first round, two the second, and then 1 each subsequent round.
submit a meme if you think you can get away with it
10 entrants needed.
It's with a heavy heart that I must say that the overwhelming consensus was that The Ziggurat and You Are My Everlovin' need to be replaced. I love 'em a lot but that's what you guys want.
Also, 8+9, Machine Gun, and Uneven Compromise scored comparatively high, and I'd like to see if most people think those should be removed or not.
I've labeled the chat as so:
X = Will be removed
? = Could be removed
No mark = Probably safe/counter-pick
! = Remains in /daily/core
Vote in these polls real quick to decide if these albums should stay or be removed:
>khana rung thawi - แห่สดดนตรีพื้นบ้านหนองโก ชุดที่ 8 + 9
http://www.strawpoll.me/12834740
>Peter Brötzmann - Machine Gun
http://www.strawpoll.me/12835345
>Lil Ugly Mane
http://www.strawpoll.me/12835346
Keep in mind, the point of replacing stuff is so that we can have albums that better represent the current """taste""" of /daily/. I love a lot of these, but not all of them deserve to be on there.
Also, you should reply to this post with ideas for what to replace them with. Forca Bruta will most likely be one, but what else deserves to be on there? Strawpoll coming once there's a good amount of ideas.
yeah
free jazz edition
what are your favorite free jazz albums?
nigger "music"
Did you know Varese once conducted a group of jazz musicians (including Mingus) and was into jazz? This website has the recordings. It was done in 1957 and is in the free jazz style- which this article notes was 4 years before Ornette Coleman's album "Free Jazz"

saw there was no sharethread so I thought i'd make one
ETIQUETTE
- Include correct format (artist / band, title of release, year of release, cover art, the file type (v0, 320 mp3, FLAC, etc), short description, YouTube sample, link)
- Send thanks if you have downloaded something to let them know they did a good thing
- Avoid sharing / requesting things that are already on the archive
- Soulseek / rutracker are your friends, too - just don't argue in this thread about it
- No samples on YouTube, Soundcloud? Drag'n'drop any mp3 on clyp.it
- Do not request without sharing first
REQUESTS
>I have a request! Did I...
- Check the archive for a live link before requesting?
- Share something first?
- Google "blogspot + artist name + album name"
>It's not there! What now?
- PLEASE don't post requests without shares
- Nobody will help if you don't contribute
- Share something, anything. You never know who's looking for it
- If you have nothing, go online, look for some album downloads, or go to a garage sale / thrift store, buy some dollar CDs
ARCHIVE
>"I don't know how to find what I'm looking for in the archive"
- Go here: >> https://archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/ or https://boards.4tan.org/mu/
- When searching, limit your search to links only, like so: "desired album mega | zippyshare | mediafire"
- Make sure you've typed "zippyshare" and not "zippy", or else Zippyshare links will not be found

any tips/pastebins/whatever would be apreciated.

I want to request you deleting your Die Antwoord folder. Thanks.
Let's talk about the artist of the decade, Claire Boucher aka Grimes.
>it's annoying i know haha, but my albums take a long time to create because i don't buy songs/ hire producers/ writers or engineers. the majority of artists do, so they are able to release music faster. unfortunately it takes me longer because if there's a style i need to learn i just have to figure it out by trial and error, or if im stuck on a lyric or beat sometimes i have to start again. i think it leads to more original product though, and hopefully the fans are happier in the long run. that said, i am making a lot of music right now, but i also want to have more of a sonic theme to this album so i'm using less of the stuff i'm recording. in any case, ill try to be as swift as possible!
Thoughts on this? Favorite songs? Did you see her live? How did you find out about her and when? How would you rate her albums?
I think she has a serious bug up her ass.
grimes? more like audiovisual crimes
>>72408436
>Thoughts on this?
Very cool.
>Favorite songs?
atm:
- Avi
- Swan Song
- Urban Twilight
- Skin
- World Princess Pt. 2
>Did you see her live?
Yes - she was awesome.
>How did you find out about her and when?
Randomly stumbled on the video of her live KEXP session on Youtube.
>How would you rate her albums?
Art Angels > Halfaxa/Darkbloom > Visions > Geidi Primes
>inb4 someone posts Initial D soundtrack
>inb4 someone points out that eurobeat is Italian
That's not anime music, that's regular music that they made an anime about.

>yfw literally all non-traditional Japanese music is just copied from Westerners
A girl i spent a semester getting over has decided to start contacting me again. Music for this feel?
>>72494090
i die a little inside everytime i see this cover because someone at a party at my house stole a super soft tshirt with this album art i got at a leonard cohen concert and i wish i could know who BECAUSE I WOULD FUCKING RAPE THEM IN THE STREET IN FRONT OF THEIR FAMILY AND STRANGLE THEM ALL
>>72494141
shame on them. would make a killer shirt, especially if it were soft.
what the actual fuck did he mean by this?
>>72494081
didn't that win Best Picture?
>>72494018
I wanna fuck him.
This doesn't even sound like scooby doo chase music wtf
>>72494016
nice bait pal
>>72494016
Yeah it sounds like Blue Oyster Cult for hipsters
Scooby Doo chase music is 60's pop.
Revolver
-innovative sound
-high quality studio tape-cutting
-top notch musical talent
Pet Sounds
-first ever rock/pop concept album
-insane placement of sounds, incredibly well thought-out
-still somehow doesn't sound outdated
they both have their merits
Abbey Road > Pet Sounds > Revolver
>>72493848
Pet Sounds and it's not even close.
He isn't a good lyrical rapper but he is entertaining. I can honestly say I have never had a bad time listening to his music. From songs like California Boy to I am a god , lil B has me laughing.
I think secretly Lil B knows this. I believe he knows how ridiculous his music is but doesn't care because it brings laughter and joy to people. He doesn't care about his reputation or being ridiculed. Thats what makes Lil B truely great.
He does have alot seriously good songs (ex. Death of Rap). I love how he does nearly every style of rap.
>>72493819
appreciate it
what happened to him?
