Dookie filled a good left behind after Kurt Cobain's suicide. Picked where Nirvana left off concerning punk instrumentation and socially conscious lyrics, and lead us out of the gloom of that loss into more light hearted and promising pastures. It was the right album for the time. Ya just had to be there.

But yeah, it ain't so great.

I saw him a few years ago in Brooklyn, outdoor concert. It was very cool. His fans aren't terribly obnoxious or extroverted (outside of one guy who kept screaming for them to play Up Jumped the Devil), so it's no surprise that you don't hear about him in passing.

That's Panzerfaust from Darkthrone. A classic from the 90's era IMO. Though it's got to be said my favorite Darkthrone album is A Blaze in the Northern Sky.
