Are there any aspiring rappers on /mu/?
I'm not really that into hip-hop but I've been listening to Atrocity Exhibition recently and it made me want to release a really experimental and patrician hip-hop album on bandcamp that becomes a cult classic and then I'll never reveal my identity or release another album under that moniker and leave hip-hop behind forever

i'm sure this place is full of Death Grips/Yeezus wannabes but they are too ashamed to admit it.

Denzel Curry will probably put out a genuinely great project soon.
AK from Underachievers is very talented but I'm not sure if he has any great projects in him. Hope I'm wrong. Same with Meechy Darko. He's the true one carrying the ODB torch (in vocal styling, anyway) but as great as he is idk if he has a great project in him. Again, would love to be wrong.
How important is bants when playing live? Why can't singer/songwriters just shut up and play? Or does it make the show more fun and memorable?
Depends on the artist and the type of mood they're trying to create with the gig
Singers/songwriters who don't bant are disappointing. Bert Jansch was a god, but his introductions in the style of 'this is a 13th century song from England and that's about all I can tell you about it' were the worst part of his act.
I played a show recently and i feel one of my biggest mistake i had on stage was piss poor bants. Soo i'd have to say its important. If you're some gay metal core band. You need some inspirational bullshit to pump people (i think its cringy everytime). I do acoustic set by myself for fun. And i sing alot of folk versions of pop and old songs. And i always try to have some sarcastic bants to try to signal to the crowd that im not super serious.
Post /coma/core. Essentially, shit that you wouldn't mind slipping into a coma or dying while listening to because it's so relaxing.

I'm 19, child.
this whore lives in a 6-million dollar mansion
what does she even know about real life? does she know what it means to struggle? to suffer? I doubt it
maybe that's why she only writes about meaningless shit
her ass is amazing
Imagine playing the fucking harp in the 21st century and becoming famous.
How the fuck.
She grew up in Cali and plays a Harp.
Yeah, she probably doesn't know what it's like to sell crack to feed your kids or whatever.
Taking acid tomorrow. What should i listen to?

What the hell is going on with this band right now?
>Tweeted back at an article who got their sources wrong and basically said Zach does all the work in the studio
>Only booked for shows at festivals in Europe/Asia this summer
>Stefan is trying to show his art off
>The new songs on Andy and Zach's side project The I.L.Y's sounds like boring noise rock
>Their last album was shit
>/mu/ barely talks about them anymore because of how inactive they are right now
Do they still have something up their sleeves, or is it about over for them?
i wonder if they all constantly check /mu/ threads about themselves, or if only andy does
Those Ily's songs are better than bottomless pit. Zach and flatty should just cut their losses and get a new frontman since Ride clearly doesn't care anymore. I suggest Rick Ross or Antwon.
Whatever the Death Grips do I'm sure it will be interesting.
Logic's album just dropped, anyone else listening? If so what do you think so far?
Any other rap artist suggestions?
holy shit the suicide hotline song is industrial grade cringe

Just hit the part with him in Hallelujah I'm so confused
Let's do a thread where people post songs and bands that they can't really remember and other people try to help.
I've been looking for this band for awhile and I can't remember much about them it was post-rock or post-metal and I think the album had an elephant on the cover but I'm not sure. I think the word Heavy was in there somewhere. I listened to it while flying home on Icelandair last August.
Bump.
I know it really isn't much to go on.

I feel a little bad bitching about a friend, so here is a performance where I think they're not bad (although it's not my sort of music).
