Is he the greatest lyricist of all time? How do I write more like him?
>How do I write more like him?
Nobody who asks questions like this will ever accomplish anything creatively. Worry about writing like you.

Let's not go there. Let's turn this thread into a recommendation for great lyricists. I will start.

I'm currently working on a new album, that will probs be more like the single I released above (3rd track off the album). No idea when it'll release, but I'd say sometime around the end of august or sometime around then.

It would best be described, like most classical works, as a piece of music.

favorite records of the year so far?
I liked the new Mac DeMarco a lot. A few weaker tracks here and there, but the good is really good. I love when the synth comes in on this old dog, and the second half of moonlight on the river. Some great moments.
I also liked the new Fleet Foxes, which I didn't see on your chart. Why haven't you heard that anon? It's very good.
New Kendrick was underwhelming, I don't think it'll be remembered as a good moment in his discography. Still decent, but only decent really. New Thundercat was good but too long.
>>72754590
didn't know new FF was out, just the single. Will check out. Haven't really heard Kendrick since the debut week.

I'm glad it happened. They were a gimmick band
If you're gay you'll agree with me, he was a hetero dude pretending to be queer and appropriate sexuality for his shitty bland pop punk
I mean, if it's progressed to this point, there's gotta be *some* truth to the allegations
the dude on the left needs to pivot and distance him as far as possible as fast as possible
I'm thinking something along the lines of "the Ben I knew was not the vicious sexual predator we all now know he is but I can no longer associate with him..."
they're probably like lifelong friends but we're talking survival here
This guy is taking hip hop into a different direction. Has anything come out this creative and bordering on avant-garde in recent years as pertinent to hip hop?

Has anyone on here seen Swans live? I'm due to see them in a couple of weeks and would like to get an idea of what I'm in for.
Also, there are two songs on their current setlist which I've never heard of and can't find in their discography, one is called 'The Knot' and the other is called 'The Man Who Refused To Be Unhappy.' Can anyone provide me with some information about them?
Swans usually plays songs from their upcoming album(s) at live shows.
>>72754149
Yeah, they sucked I amost fell asleep standing up
Luckily there was a greek lute and drum duo playing before them that was good
>>72754149
They play songs from their next album a lot of the time, apparently.
TBK tour they played unknowing/unseeing, The Seer was improviced and written throughout the My Father... tour, TBK was played on The Seer tour etc.
Why isn't cLOUDDEAD s/t a mu-core album like The Money Store or MBDTF?. It's influential, unique and has plenty of memes.
It's the ultimate meme rap album

It's considered sub-/mu/core but I see it here more than most /mu/core albums. I'd say it is /mu/core
