This is so bland.
Literally Oatmeal: The Album
Fuck anybody who says this is the greatest. Or is even on par with 36 Chambers.
GZA's delivery can be a little too laid back but holy shit, his rhymes are excellent. I like the theme and the overall vibe.

This is better than your favorite hip-hop album.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night OST
And Morrowind.
When are we going to see a return to deep, meaningful music instead of trash glorifying drug use and debauchery that everyone is so eager on making right now?
as in, in the mainstream? when capitalism crumbles

I really enjoy "Lyfestylez ov da Poor and Dangerous" by Big L. I think it's pretty important, but many would not say it's essential.
how many of you actually sing or play an instrument?
>>72875633
I was in choir in middle school lol
I play guitar and would totally be up for doing vocals but I have no idea if I'm even good, I can tell I have a pretty weak vocal range
i bang the drum
I loved DSU but slept on Alex G since then. His last record bored me, felt like a rehash, and I was hoping for a huge step forward.
Well Rocket IS that huge step forward. First album I've heard this year that had me smiling front to back, not a bad track nor even a bad moment on this thing. AOTY for me so far right now.
I've only listened to race before and damn Alex has improved a lot.
New Will Toledo when
>>72875399
lol fuck Will.
Alex G was superior from day one.
listening to this feels like uncovering footage a sing along with a young Elliott Smith. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFzWojaY_rc&t=839s
Alex is immensely talented and just enough of an oddball to do his own thing without anybody questioning it. I don't think Rocket will propel him into the limelight or anything, but for anyone who'sa fan of his style, this is a clear evolution and just a great fucking record.

never heard of this guy before mu started talking about this album. but i downloaded it last night because i loved the single. i thought the whole thing was pretty good until brick came on. i had to check my itunes to make sure it hadn't changed to a different artist.
who the hell does this guy think he is? that was some of the most tasteless, immature garbage i've ever heard. sportstar is almost just as bad.
it's like he's so cocky he thinks he can pull off going from mellow indie and country to deathgrips-style noise rap and then braindead drake-ish dancehall
he's obviously a talented songwriter but holy shit this asshole needs to stay in his lane.
What were his final words ?
>>72874779
"I'm gonna cum"
"Who's the man with the master plan? I nigga wit a mothafuckin' gun."
"Black old son, won't you cum?"

It's not really obscure soundwise though. Also there are probably people who listened to this on this board so idk
Not really obscure, not in the slightest, but I never see anyone talking about it so

>Not Queen.
Fixed
why he do it?
oh you know bro
read something about too much anxiety medication.
Idk but the whole thing is surreal as fuck. After Audioslave broke up I never really followed Cornell a whole bunch except for Soundgarden getting back together; now he's all I'm seeing or hearing about. I was a real big fanboy of his work in my teens. Your childhood heroes seem immortal so when they die out of fuckin nowhere it's a little unsettling. Guy was young as fuck too so there's that.
