What bands/artists did you have a good fun going through their discography?
>>72849760
I had basically not listened to any pink floyd in my life until a couple months ago, just never got around to it. It was interesting going through their discography and seeing the evolution
Also ween
He no like the banana
Angery
Cat no banana
>>72849798
>also ween
definitely, probably the funnest to go though because just as you think you know the band they just do something totally random like La Cucaracha
My pick is probably Kinks- although you might not like them the evolution of the band from 64-71 is super interesting.
ITT: albums you love that are under appreciated on /mu/

Anyone who screeches about this not being real metal is a literal child
Anyone who takes metal or people who take metal seriously, seriously is a literaly child.

dismissing the whole genre is the most reddit thing to do
Anyone who goes onto /mu/ and posts is a literal child.

I honestly can't see how people see an ear.
What are your musical opinions in which you are disagreeing with most of /mu/?
>I think pic related are a really good band, one of the best there is currently (of course I don't rate indie shit like Brothers and Turn Blue)
>ITAOTS is just an average, overrated post-punk album
>Pet Sounds is not even the best Beach Boys album
>MPP is not the best Animal Collective album
>OK Computer is not the best Radiohead album
>post punk
can you explain that a bit? I don't feel post punk at all when I listen to NMH.
I agree with the last two though.
>I like hip hop, but I'm not fond of Young Thug, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Yachty, or really any of the new acts people rave about here

lil yachty is unironically good
ITT: Pictures of artists that look completely different from how they sound.
>pictures of artists
I hate it already.
Knowing that the music was made by people ruins it for me.
But they do look like shit in that picture.

When there is: Faith, Seventeen Seconds, Pornography and The Head On The Door?
>>72849373
Because pop
>>72849373
Faith and Pornography are indeed comparable, though I personally think Seventeen Seconds is too skeletal when taken as a whole to measure up. Personally, I think Disintegration returns to that sound while carrying the lessons of Head on the Door and Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me in tow, resulting in songs you wouldn't have seen on those records like Pictures of You, Fascination Street or the title track. It's very much a comprehensive release where their post-punk roots collided with their then current psychedelic pop stylings.
>>72849455
I personally love their pop sound... in fact Close to Me and Six Different Ways are probably my favorite tracks from the band. So yea, I think it's a good point that Disintegration it's a balance between their most cold, melancholic post-punk side and quirky psych pop, even though I don't think it's their greatest record. also checked
ITT: fuck you it was good.

What do you think of Hamilton?
my gf made me listen to it in its entirety and I gotta say, its really not bad. I'm typically not a fan of theatrical singing, but there are some gems in the OST. Yorktown and Ten Dual Commandments are fuckin sick
