Do they have decent records /mu/ ?
>>72980453
Experimental Jet Set is probably the only album of theirs I'd say is an actual mess, just due to the recording quality being really poor (on purpose) and the songs sounding rushed or half finished. Everything else of theirs is great, some may just be better or worse depending on your tastes
I don't think any of them are below a 6/10 personally. Even if their focused songwriting chops are questionable these guys know their way around a guitar and a jam. They can just feel their way to a decent record if they wanted to.
Every album they released in the 80s is at least an 8/10

nothing in the 2010s was or will be as well-produced as it
ITT: Misheard lyrics that you like better than the actual lyrics
I'll start
On White Teeth Teens I thought she said "Everything works out so good, I wear the ROPE like no one could"
As in she was wearing a noose around her neck to kill herself. Gave me chills
ROBE is still good but doesn't give the same erie feeling i used to get when listening
Radiohead - Black Star
I always heard it as BABY IM YOUR BLAAAAACK STAAAAR (as opposed to BLAME IT ON THE)
In retrospect it doesn't really work in context with the rest of the lyrics but whatever.
On "Self Control" I though that the lyrics were "-You cut your hair but you used to live a BLONDE life." (mentioning the album's name)
But it's actually "blinded life".
(I grew up in the ghetto but still listened to alt rock)
It was pumped up kicks by the fosters
My way was that some kid got some new shoes and some guy like fucked them up and then he was going to put a cap in his ass
Legit song is about a school shooter with teen angst
I still like my version though
What are the worst lyrics you've ever heard?
>I'm tired of facebook, tired of my fading hell. I'm tired of everyone, and that includes myself
>>72980080
you meant the best lyrics I've ever heard
Literally anything from this album
>>72980080
I never thought of Steven as a good lyricist. It's like listening to Rush. Some people don't care about lyrics because we are autistic.
ITT: Albums that make you feel nostalgic
Soundtrack to freshman year of high school right here, not even really into indie pop music for the most part now
I like most of the songs off of that album but it marked the point where the "indie" in indie pop lost all semblance of its original meaning and just became purely commercial radio hits
>>72980024
oh yeah absolutely, this is like pop electronic rock mostly but it's *indie* if its a band of white hipster dudes who pose with instruments
>>72980014
nigga, how young are you?
my room mate is blasting music with his door open what do i do?
suck his fucking dick
Blast your own music louder
>>72979924
what should i play?
Why Lorde look like Laura Palmer from Twin Peaks?
insulting
sheryl lee is an 11/10 goddess
lorde is a goblin
>>72979830
How do you justify them looking alike then?
ohhh angelo
holy shit, this is the best punk album ever made. fucking insane
is there even an appropriate way to reply to this
>>72979777
nice trips
>>72979777
With trips, apparently

I never read that title before, pretty strong message. Pretty interesting music and it really is industrial. Have you got vocals in mind?
