My friends are extremely keen on having "The Doorknobs" or "The Doornobs" as a band name but i reckon it's pretty cancer.
>Thoughts?

I'd say "The Doornobs" sound better, pretty punny ;)
Go with it!
Hi. Let's talk about currently most patrician Pop Rock group, Paramore.
Now that's it been out for a bit, thoughts on After Laughter? How do you think it ranks in comparison to the rest of their output?
I'd consider it one of their best yet even though I honestly love every album they've done anyways. Also, can we address Zac's drumming on the album? It's incredibly good. Now that I'm revisiting their pre-S/T material, I'm realizing how great Zac has always been as a drummer. He's definitely an underrated member in the band.

Also, here's an old Josh Farro song that both Josh and Hayley sing on. I just found it not too long ago and wow, it's great.

paramore is only good because hayley's voice is hot the instrumentals are shit and super basic and the songwriting kinda sucks too
I like the album a lot. I'm glad they made the transition from pop punk to pop rock with their last two albums; it's worked very well.
>he fell for the "cd is dead" meme
HA! Now us, the real collectors, can buy up all of the CDs, since people think they're dead, and when they're "alive" again, we'll have them all! Jokes on them though, because they were never dead. Always alive!
cd's are fun for driving but thats it
really funny for some reason
Did you guys know you can just call Steve Albini anytime you want to? He doesn't actually have a home, he lives in a room at Electrical Audio with his wife. When you call EA he actually picks up the phone! 24 hours a day!
Two things you need to know about this situation:
#1: he can't change the EA phone number because they've stopped issuing landline numbers in Chicago.
#2: Steve will answer the phone after all the other EA employees have gone home for the night and he will talk to you until you hang up. This drives his wife crazy as shit.
Pic related, have fun /mu/.
I'm gonna order him a pizza from Sarpino's, with anchovies, green peppers and pineapple. It should be on its way soon Stevie!

Nobody under the age of 35 will recognise it

Don't some modern hipsters know Indian Summer or something? I'm sure some will recognise it at least based on the artist name.

WHY IN THE FUCK WON'T DANZIG LET SOMEONE WHO ISN'T A FUCKING RETARD PRODUCE HIS ALBUMS? Jesus Christ, this new album sounds like dog shit and it's a shame since there are some genuinely good tracks on here.
AND FUCK TOMMY VICTOR! Mother fucker is obsessed with pinch Harmonics. God fucking dammit.
he's always been like this. it was danzig's idea to add all the awful reverb to misfits tracks and put out a shitload of compilations with 3 different versions of each song. say what you want about jerry only, he got static age and 12 hits from hell released in their original forms.

I don't want him to be gone. Since he killed himself I've had his music on repeat ever since. I'm actually listening to Audioslave right now as I type this.
I'm having a really hard time getting over this. If anything ever happens to Eddie Vedder, I don't know what I'll do.
This one hurt more than the others.
I know
I only come here for the daily threads
I'm feeling the same way. Before this turns into a shitfest, I just want to say that while I loved his music, and I feel that he was a huge influence on me personally and musically, I don't feel bad that he killed himself.
He was a great artist, but he died in a shitty way that I can't feel bad for. That's the worst part.
>>72997351
The way I think about it, is that if a man who overcame all that he did in his life, particularly the drug usage, and went on to become successful and rich with a family and still was in such a dark state that he actually killed himself, then he was in a place so dark we can't really comprehend.
When someone who had it all and overcame it all still can't find the strength to go on, you know he was in a dark place.
I hope Chris found the peace he was looking for
Can we all agree on the fact that this is a disapointing album. It doesn't have the things that made Slowdive what they were in 90s. Things like walls of sounds with angelic guitar tones, the sublime songs flirting with ambiance and heavenly songs that are timeless.
It has conventional indie songs with heavy guitars and lazy vocals. This is the kind of album that Raveonettes or any other post-millennial dream pop acts would release but not our beloved Slowdive.
