Kraftwerk was shit because they would constantly start, play for a few minutes and then stop again. One guy took like 25 minutes to come out. We gave up after about 30 min and left early to get a good spot for LCD Soundsystem

i like this thread
what's the band for worst concert?
My first concert was a Bob Dylan concert. I was one year old at the time (21 now) and my dad took me. Other than that haven't been to a lot of concerts.
The eternal debate

Both great but Black Foliage is far better
MPP has like four or five good tracks, and the rest are filler, just like every other AnCo album. BF:AMV1 is a solid listen all the way through.
Metal is for edgy kids.

I wouldn't, the keys are absolute shit.
This is a thread to discuss your favorite drone and help scrubs (like me understand it better).
Help me get into Drone, /mu/. I've been dying to for ages but I don't know where to start. I've only just gotten into ambient first. I'm curious what you see as being the main point and where you derive enjoyment from drone music.
Anyone have suggestions of where to start and where to find the best out there? I don't know any at all besides Stars of the Lid so whatever you rec will be new to me probably. And does anyone have one of those flowcharts for drone music at all?
Anyway, just talk among yourselves about the drone you love and hopefully I'll absorb some of your wisdom.

For me, its just this feeling of pleasent fullness in my ears. Like the distant ringing you hear when you're underwater, just saturated and pleasurable texture.
I'd recc Earth 2 by Earth as a starter, I've listened to it so much it doesn't even feel like drone because I know what the melodies in it are, so it just feels like very slow doom.

Well the thread didn't turn out as many replies as I hoped, but this is a great rec, so I'd say it's worth it! Listening to it now and I really get what you mean, it's great!
Thanks, friend.

I'd say Piano Text by Aloof Proof should do it for you
Five albums you love, judge/ guess personalities
Your opinions on this man, please

Like, best concert I've ever been to
/mu/ can't into rock though
Who's hyped for old Neil Young to release a new (old) Neil Young album from when he was a younger Neil Young?
This is apparently coming out in July, an unreleased solo acoustic album from 1976. Hopefully this also means he'll release the other unreleased albums and the second archive box soon as well.

Gothenburg style melodic death metal like In Flames, Dark Tranquility, etc.

Are you me
Noise Rock > any Punk music >>>>> any Metal "music"
Yeah sure, if you're a little bitch who can't handle visceral intensity and has thus chose to listen to inferior attempts at layered texture in music.
>>73082039
Noise rock is a memegenre
Post-punk >>> noise rock
>noise rock
when you can't write a song worth listening to so you layer cacophony at varying rates of intensity
>punk rock
when you can write 30 seconds of a song worth listening to so you do exactly that forever
>metal rock
when you write a symphony to rival beethoven but you obscure it ironically behind epic riffs and sick vocals
Why cant I stop listening to them?
Why am i so deeply interested in their band?
Because they're a hyperbolic display of ghetto-chique that is highly marketable that also showcases the faces of actual poverty in the west. Their sound is also an excellent blend of rave and hip hop that litters lyrical references through most of their songs and they have some unique flows between the two of them that emerge from their fluid use of English and Afrikaans.
Plus Yolandi a qt.
My Dad is 60 and he enjoys them
Because theyre actually interesting.
Afrikaans is pretty neat in hip-hop even though most dutch rap is shit.
And Ninja just has a good voice and personality for it.
Why was he so talented? Was he even human?
>>73081710
His Dad beat him
to be fair he only danced and sang afaik. While he did both to a great extent, there are others who were/are technically better. What made him great however, was the great amount of charisma he had.
