The first black metal song was released in 1969.
>screamed/shrieked vocals
>war drums that wouldn't sound out of place in a down-paced Bathory or Darkthrone song
>abbrassive, trebley, droning guitar
>lyrics about human sacrifice and the occult

It's a shame this is the only worthwhile track on the album. Very forward thinking.
>>73084099
Yeah, I was also disappointed to learn that the album is trash. Caledonia is a fantastic song, though.

Nah it's really good
Judas Priest is better than Iron Maiden
Kreator is the best Teutonic thrash band
Bathory is better than Darkthrone
Black metal is better than death metal
Seven Churches is better than Scream Bloody Gore
Muse is better than Radiohead
Hardcore punk is the best subgenre of punk
David Bowie's Berlin period wasn't good
Scary Monsters and Earthling are Bowie's best albums
Marilyn Manson is better than Nine Inch Nails
Exmilitary is better than TMS
Pet Sounds is better than all other /mu/core
The Beach Boys are infinitely better than The Beatles
The Doors were the best band of the 60s
Velvet Underground s/t is better than White Light White Heat
Transformer is better than anything Lou Reed did in VU
Viking Metal is better than power metal
Death Magnetic is better than the Black album and all their other albums after it
What sorts of combinations of unique opinions do you have?
Philip Glass is a complete hack and gives the entire movement of minimalism a bad name
The Ramones are one of the worst bands of all time, and the fact that they were so influential made pop music as a whole worse
Death Grips are the single best band to debut in the 2000s, and Niggas on the Moon is the third best hip hop album of all time
Biosphere is a huge hack and anyone inspired by his work (including Tim Hecker, OPN, Lawrence English and Ben Frost) is either a hack or a potentially good musician wasting their talents
>>73083916
Judas Priest vs. Iron Maiden is ehh, they're about even.
Kreator opinion is correct.
The Doors you could at least make an argument for.
Velvet Underground opinion is right.
Everything else is edgy contrarian horseshit even people who watch MTV in 2017 can tell you is wrong. Try harder next time
>>73083916
>Judas Priest is better than Iron Maiden
>Kreator is the best Teutonic thrash band
These are true. I add:
Ramones are one of the best bands ever
70's punk was best punk
New York Dolls were a good band and johnny thunders is a genius
the 70's was the best dacade for rock music
never mind the bollocks is interesting but not the best ever
Molested's "Blood Draum" is one of the best death metal albums
Can anyone recommend me good KPop music, if it exists, here's a good pape for your troubles
Thx beys
Pure K-Pop? Try:
>The Wonder Girls- Reboot
>Shinee- Odd
>Red Velvet- The Red
>Brown Eyed Girls- Sixth Sense
>AOA- Short Hair (track, not an album)
I'd also recommend Yukari- Echoes, but it's more of a dream pop album that happens to be from South Korea than a K-Pop album.
>>73084000
That should be Yukari- Echo. My bad.
are you interested in pop music in general or what are you usually into

I work at a record store. I am not the best looking guy and not a huge charmer, but I've picked up a few female customers. Today, a girl who was a solid 7 came in with this fat, unshaven, poorly dressed autist in a fucking goddamn fedora. The kid comes up to me asking if we have Faust, and I say "shiggy."
His eyes glow.
I. Fucking. Called it.
"You know about 4chan?"
"What?"
"Y-you know about 4chan?"
"Dude, what the fuck are you talking about," I am a damned good liar. His female companion goes "Chris, this is embarrassing," and walks over to our CD racks.
So this fat kid starts going around looking through our prog and avant garde music, and I walk over to the girl. They were both probably around my age, though the fat guy looked very young, partly because of his patchy, ugly attempt at a beard, so I decided to fuck with this kid and start hitting on the girl he's with.
After faking interest in her shit taste for a while, I ask, loudly enough for the guy to hear, why she and "her brother" are here today.
The fedora guy turns and awkwardly loudly says "I'm not her brother and we're on a date," and this chick fucking cringes and says "It's more of, uh, a friend date."
I swear to god if you could have seen that guy's face you would never forget it.
Again, I am not a charmer, but the asshole in me was taking over, and I just couldn't resist. I said "Well, if you ever want to go on a regular type date, I'm always right here," and the girl smiled and said she'd do that some time.
I convinced her to buy a few shoegaze CDs since she liked Loveless and Chris bought a Beefheart vinyl, and I slipped in a reference to him having "plebeian" taste and he lost it about 4chan again and I pretended he was acting insane and I had no idea what it was, the girl just shook her head and said "Chris, nobody knows about your stupid website," then Chris asked if he could borrow some money to pay for his Beefheart vinyl. The girl left me her number.
Chris, if you're on here, thanks

He was originally their tour manager or something. He was originally just brought into the live band because Gary Young was a madman who spent as much time doing headstands and chucking lettuce at the audience as he did playing drums so they needed a second percussionist to keep time. I guess they just grew accustomed to him in the band and didn't want to give him the boot when Gary was kicked out. He also did backing vocals as well of course.

We post those simple songs that make us feel better. Little escapes to the burden of the day. There's no judging in this thread, so come chat for a bit.

Have you ever listened to the same album twice in a row? Because it was just that good, or for another reason?
>>73082875
Yes, but only because it was the only CD I'd brought with me on a car trip and the radio wasn't working

Yeah, a bunch of times.
