About to marathon this album for the first time.
What should I expect?
One of the best dream pop albums ever recorded.

You should expect amazing vocals from a guy with a naturally high voice (no falsetto,) great drum and hand percussion performances, and great atmosphere, buildup, and progression. Also, how the hell is listening to an album front to back a "marathon?"
Can someone explain to me how did this
https://www.youtube.com/Qlsu7RhOnsQ
make his best tracks of the week but this
https://www.youtube.com/e3hjpNuvapQ
made his worst ones?
They're both subjectively generic garbage, but I don't get why would he like Carly's but not Halsey's. Epecially that his problem with Halsey's was that it's a generic pop song while Carly's is even more generic.
wow retard maybe I would agree with you if you could properly post a link

DID
Do you think this album marks the start of Post-postmodernism?
It certainly doesn´t belong post-mo.
what are you even babbling about you moron.
Post post modernism has been a theme in movies, literature and music for a long time now
IIRC the post-modern empire ended in 1999
Raphopfags are legit redditors.

Fenriz > varg
Prove me wrong.
You cant
Fenriz is definitely a better human being than Varg. Varg is a more innovative musician though.
hell yeah
wtf lmao
>Odelay
I do not agree but respect your opinion, kind sir or madam.

What was s/t Sabbath then?
"Paranoid" was not their first album, you poser. But it's the best.
this is the best post rock album of all time
nothing but the best edition
>not nugu edition
I'm in
yulhee
Anything else that sounds like this?
I listened to Adventure but it wasn't the 11/10 album that this is. More like an 8/10.
nothing else sounds like it
People liked to compare this to The Strokes' first lp but I don't think they sound that similar.
>>73085105
There is nothing quite like Marquee Moon, but for that jazzy, punky, poppy thing they do so well I'd say the Teardrop Explodes- Kiliminjaro or Buzzcocks- Singles Going Steady.
this is better than DAMN.
Damn is somewhere between average and good
This is fucking garbage, so no
This album was boring and poorly executed. The features were lackluster, Joey didn't have anything to say besides le "fuck drumpf", and most of the beats were bland.
>>73084811
who the fuck even bothered listening to this lmao
Does anyone actually genuinely like this album? Its the general consensus amongst non-shills and non-band dick riders that this album fucking sucked right? An original and experimental electronic/hip-hop/(insert genre here) band reduced to "yah millennials!", auto-tuned out of orbit rapper's and "but dude no ones done it before" (because it sounds like shit) tier music. Seriously what is this shit:

Liked a couple of songs on the album, but the rest was trash. Definitely wasn't up to Gorillaz standard.
Yeah the first 3 gorillaz records are still some of my favorite albums ever and this was a big disappointment for me.
Not one song reached the heights of the explosive singles the band had before, there was no feel good Inc/Clint Eastwood/melancholy hill moment.
I liked Ascension and a lot of the songs, but as a whole this thing was not up to the consistency of character and theming the other gorillaz records had.

if you have a tourney and im not in it its not a real tourney
The point of these threads is to encourage people to look for new and interesting music. We do this by listening to and ideally discussing albums we've never heard before. Many of us already listen to new music daily, these people are in it to venture "out of their comfort zone" by listening to albums they otherwise wouldn't have, or just to have a good time.

Who are the heaviest band of all time and why is it Bowling for Soup?
They're unironically one of my favorite bands

Their biggest hit (1985) was a cover song that made no improvement over the original
