Digital made CD redundant, vinyl records have the novelty factor.
vinyl
Both are outdated at this point as You can just download everything. If you want to collect something records are much cooler.

Reverie is one of the best songs of the year

here I fixed it
>late 80s - acid house
>early 90s - rave/jungle
>mid 90s - IDM and big beat
>late 90s - eurodance
>early 00s - UKGarage
>mid 00s - dubstep
>Late 00s - Grime
Now what's leading British music?
>>73140173
America, as usual

>There are two kinds of people who do drugs: Those who do drugs, and those who talk about how they do drugs. The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band is pretty much the latter in sonic form. Don’t get me wrong: These four mop-headed boys created one of the most gorgeous and progressive records of the modern music era and I’m pretty sure my father would disown me for talking shit about it, but the lyrical content on this album is on par intellectually with the conversations I had last Saturday at 3 AM after drinking about 37 beers. For starters, there’s a song on this record called “Fixing a Hole” in which Paul McCartney riffs for about two and a half minutes on the mental glory of home improvement. Then we have a song about a guy named Mr. Kite and trampolines. And then they get really deep by writing a song called “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” which, get it, is about LSD. (Because Lucy/Sky/Diamonds, ha!) Anyway, this record is beautiful and “When I’m Sixty-Four” is a lovely song that my father played for my mother at their wedding, but holy shit everything on this record is about as deep as the empty coffee cup on my desk. Let’s stop pretending it’s anything more than 13 different tracks that basically say “drugs are cool” over and over again. (Although, for the record, drugs are cool.)

Lennon literally took acid over 1000 times from 1965 to 1968 per his own admission fuck you
Drug elitism is worse than actually taking drugs
>he wants me to read all that
His toxicology report came in today:
http://pitchfork.com/news/73655-chris-cornell-toxicology-report-shows-prescription-drugs/
All prescription drugs, no illegal substances. Track marks seem to have been from attempts by paramedics to save him
Bullshit.
>>73139952
I'm still sad about this
>>73139952
why the distinction between prescription drugs and illegal substances? both will kill you.
What are some musician deaths that will be as big as when Paul 2.0 dies?
I think Paul's going to be the biggest desu. Not even Chuck Berry got that much of a send off, so there's only going to be a few with that much of a reaction.
bob dylan will be the biggest death ever
just as reagan's coffin was on the tv for two weeks straight
so will bob dylan's funeral be, except more spectacular and last for an entire year
as a matter of fact all other concerns will vanish and the world will become as one in the unification of bob's visions and the era of peace will be upon us then which will last for many centuries thereafter
This is Bono. Say something nice to him!
I love your song off the Batman Forever soundtrack
u will go 2 heaven, mr. sunglasses
thank u 4 charity and the 2000 smash hit "Elevation" from the tomb raider soundtrack

maybe if they took more time and didnt include HMLTS

Lyrics are fucking cringe, sonically this album is immaculate but everything is ruined by horrendous lyricism and vocals.

How serious are you about making it?
I'm serious about making quality music, but I don't really care about getting famous or recognition.
>>73139360
only problem is other people decide whats quality
>>73139360
Ay, respect. don't know your position, but getting paid does start being a bigger priority getting older, if only to get out of the 9-5 trap because it's way harder to find free time for making quality stuff when the majority of your weekdays goes to some company or business or whatever then freetime goes to relationships or errands or kids and all those gay things. some people can do it, but I personally have lots of weakness will-free genes
How do we go from music like Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, etc. being popular to "yeah uh fuck money nigga hoes fuck hoes bitch smoke weed nigga fuck the police rayciss nigga" and 808 trap beats today? What happened to creativity and sophistication in popular music?

Holy shit I want to fuck weird goth chick
