The first time I listened to the song, I got exactly that feeling, like "holy shit you built me up so high just to drop me off in Blink-182ville."

I've gotten over it as the song has gained a nostalgic appeal for me. But I still remember that first disappointment.

Funny enough, MCR thought they were doing a Queen impression with this album and especially that song.

How the fuck did Marr manage to come up with all these great creative melodies on the spot? His African-esque guitar line on Talking Heads' (Nothing But) Flowers was just him playing around not even knowing the tape machine was recording, and it's easily the best part of the entire album.

It's in the bottom tier of Ween albums but it's not their worst. That goes to White Pepper. While White Pepper starts off great it loses ground in the second half. La Cucaracha is definitely more consistent front to back.
