Who are artists who started late in life and/or released some of their best work while old?
Tom Waits comes to mind, although he didn't start off old
A lot of the chitlin' switch players were well into their 40's until they even saw a recording booth
Swans hit a second wind apparently when they reformed, though they were never really bad
GBV released Bee Thousand when Robert Pollard was almost 40.
Mono or Stereo?
mono for mono intended, stereo for stereo intended

depends, how many speakers am i working with?

hate these people
Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling listening to the second movement of this song that Gerard Way could have recreated a style very similar to Freddie Mercury with that fucking powerful ballad and the guitars going mental in the back. It's like as soon as the movement ends it descends into emo revival trash but you just get this one glimpse of what MCR could have been?
The first time I listened to the song, I got exactly that feeling, like "holy shit you built me up so high just to drop me off in Blink-182ville."
I've gotten over it as the song has gained a nostalgic appeal for me. But I still remember that first disappointment.
Funny enough, MCR thought they were doing a Queen impression with this album and especially that song.

my chemical romance was just a dadrock band with dark spooky emo look
>>73141047
I dunno man, I feel like they were aiming for the dadrock thing until they went way off the fucking road and turned to the cringy hallmark emo thing that they became.
The kings are back.
The art is so fucking beautiful holy shit. I really think it is the prettiest album cover I've ever seen.
Music is nice too
>>73140910
ah ha i see they have accepted the 4 truths time cube philosophy
AOTY without breaking a sweat
What the fuck went wrong?
They covered joy division and made it sound even more shit than it already was
Stop hating everything popular /mu/

How about a good, old-fashioned /proge/ general?
This is slowly becoming my all time favourite. I love this style of Prog in particular

Have you found the secret Nixon yet OP?

God bless Argentina

Vini Reilly
How the fuck did Marr manage to come up with all these great creative melodies on the spot? His African-esque guitar line on Talking Heads' (Nothing But) Flowers was just him playing around not even knowing the tape machine was recording, and it's easily the best part of the entire album.

Literally ahead of its time
this album is underrated
>>73140433
It's in the bottom tier of Ween albums but it's not their worst. That goes to White Pepper. While White Pepper starts off great it loses ground in the second half. La Cucaracha is definitely more consistent front to back.
>>73140491
honestly, I do believe it's the worst Ween album but it's still very good
I know that Taylor Swift, Jay-Z and Dr. Dre don't have their music on there. Are there any other notable musicians who have opted out?
And do you think that is even sustainable? I know that Jay-Z and Dre have their own streaming services going on but it seems like a losing battle.
Why the fuck would want to listen to Taylor Swift?
King crimson. Also exmilitary and 3 feet high and rising
