Do you like listening to other people playing with other peoples records?

Because they're both made with samplers, not turntablism.

My face when p4ks sale to conde nasty and embrace of poptamism has opened up a hole for a new website to cater to hip young white people while p4k jerks off to beyonce or some shit, and p4k will stop being cool soon
That's a good point.
Do you really think in the current climate that there will be another big tastemaker site like what pitchfork was the beginning of the decade??
P4k is literally the buzzfeed of music these days.
>>73168823
I actually came up with this thought when i stumbled upon a weird website that reminded me of old p4k back when it was mostly white.

>and p4k will stop being cool soon
It's already uncool now for this very reason.
gg cuckfork.

Wrong.
Playing in a punk band is playing on easy mode as there is no quality control in punk music at all.
Since punk is designed to be simple and have shitty vocals every punk bands sounds the god damn same and it's all an assault on the ears. Your lyrics write themselves as the entire genre has one topic: "rebellion". Your music writes itself as using more than two power chords makes your tiny tiny head hurt. Because of this, those who like punk like every punk song and every punk band since there is no distinction whatsoever in the genre. It's all shit, it's all poorly performed, and let's be honest here, the dress style is just a joke.
TL;DR: if you don't have the talent to be a decent musician just become a punk rocker for easy profit.
This applies to post-punk too by the way
>>73168150
>"Jello Biafra? is it one of those weird 1950's cake recipes?": the post
I would say the same goes on for trap/hip-hop nowadays.
That doesn't mean making outstanding music doesn't take talent.
Every genre is easy if your goal is to create something half-assed not a masterpiece
/mu/ quite literally and figuratively blown the fuck out by antonio pantano
op do we really need 5 anthony fantano threads? i understand the bait. overall it's just pointless shilling though. go to a different thread, talk about some music.

It has to be one autist posting these threads, right? Nobody cares about this guy any more.

>Have a DJ in my summer work
>Ask if he has ever played Aphex Twin
>"Haha no anon, what's that?"
>>73167629
And why would he know?
>>73167636
Aphex Twin is so normie music and iconic artist that every DJ who plays electronic stuff should know him
he probably plays shitty big room and """"""deep"""""" house as do probably 50% of """""djs""""" polluting the scene nowadays
i doubt any of them have an idea who aphex twin is
Opinion on Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds /mu/?
Saw them live in Australia near the start of this year, one of the best shows I've ever been to
They were great at Blixa-era. They're okay now. Push The Sky Away was a disappointment, Skeleton Tree was better
>>73167590
Far and away my favourite band, Push the Sky Away is mad underrated imo
I too saw them in Australia, probably the best show I've been to
>>73167612
I've been listening to Push The Sky Away a lot lately, what is that you find disappointing about it?
Why do you still listen to popular music?
all actions taken out of concern for image will end in dissatisfaction
>>73167486
I listen to what I like to listen to, faggot. Some of my favorite albums are household names, and some of my favorite songs haven't even broken a thousand views on YouTube.

umm
gonna sell all music equipment i got for the past ten years. whats the best way do i go about that? some shit needs to be listed as spare parts since it doesn't work.
my reasons for quitting:
>playing piano since 7
>laughed at alot because of it
>around 14 got into sequencing
>around 19 wanted to do something with it, get girls or something
>tried to join bands
>finally got one but shit went sour real fast. it was fucking terrible.
>seeing other peers that barely know the game move up socially with it.
>last 10 years was shit because i had no where else to go so i just stayed at home making shit.
>just want to sell it all im tired of it.
> Id rather put it in some other endevour that i can make money
>realize all i need is hookers and drugs.
>still crave to create but I'm burned the fuck out. end up turning off everything after 10 minutes
>the effort is not worth the stress.
protip: make friends with connections. talent comes second. music is not for the socially inept or stunted.
Send me stuff in the mail
>>73167263
selling your shit when you have artist's block ain't the wisest idea, my guy. just sit on your equipment for half a year or so and see if you still want to sell it then. i get the same artist's block with my drawing/painting every so often. i believe in you, anon.
>>73167292
Yeah yeah yeah just get it out of your life for a while and see how you do, find a friend with a garage or rent storage or something, if you tried it for 10 years its probably not because you had the kinda interest that will just go away if you dump all your shit
