Is anyone else completely unmoved by The Beatles? I'm 35, so I've heard Beatles songs just by existing in the world, but I've never heard a single one that I've ever wanted to hear a second time. So I've never voluntarily listened to one of their songs or albums, because I just don't care.
Anyone else find them aesthetically unengaging?
NB: I am in no way saying they are bad, or even overrated, musically. I understand they are the most important band in modern rock history. I also realize that many of my favorite artists would probably call them the greatest band of all time. They just do literally nothing for me, personally.

you sound a little insecure for your age desu

not really insure, I just feel like I'm missing out on some thing that 99% of the population gets
and unlike some, I don't care about having correct taste, so I don't force myself into liking music that doesn't appeal to me just because it is "good"
>>74949781
Same.
I appreciate their importance to music but that doesn't mean I want to listen to them.
Which record player should I get and which ones should I ignore? Also which vinyls should I buy first?
Ignore all suitcase record players. Buy your favorite albums first. It's your collection. No one else's.

Can we have a Mountain Goats thread going on? I just got into them. I listened to Tallahassee, All Hail West Texas, The Sunset Tree, Get Lonely and I'm currently listening to We Shall All Be Healed (and it's pretty fucking good so far). What other album do you recommend by them? What's your favorite one?

When I was like 20 I got real into weed one summer and every night before bed I would get real high and listen to this song while I jerked off.
Post bands who would be awesome to see live if their name was literally what they were.
Pic related is King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.

So listen, folks, here is my thesis:
"Peace in the world, or the world in pieces!"
Who's your favourite musician in terms of lyrics, and how good is the actual music part of their songs? Would you still enjoy their music if you didn't like the lyrics?
Isaac Brock for me. Great lyricist, but even if his lyrics were shit Modest Mouse would still be some of my favourite indie rock.
