Apologies for the weebery, but I was curious about the main 4-chord progression on Unravel from Tokyo Ghoul.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEQf5lcnj_o
I don't have the musical vocabulary to describe it, but I love that particular progression, especially in Animenz's piano cover of the theme (played at 125% speed), and want to find as many songs as possible with it.
Other examples:
Durch Den Monsun - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckKCBRxN2J0 (0:38)
Don't Stand so Close to Me (Sting Cover) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5DZi-S5Z4U (1:13-2:58 and 3:29-4:28)
Can someone give me a link to file that contains /mu/ essential albums please?

What exactly happened between them?
Some autistic retard drew words coming out of their mouth.
Post two artists who sound similar. We argue over who did it better.

Circa 2bh (two be honest)

I could never get into them. I grew up in Philly and mewithoutYOU vs Circa Survive was a heated discussion around 2007-2008.
Spotify is hated by artists for paying only pennies. But here's the thing: They only keep 45% of revenue. Too high? Definitely. Hopefully competitors crop up that only keep 20 or 5 percent.
But even if spotify kept only 20%, the artists would now be being paid 1.5 pennies for a hundred listens, instead of 1 (or whatever it is).
That wouldn't change much. This is mostly not Spotify's fault. It's just the way the market is now.
in addition to these threads theres a separate bandcamp thread and a soundcloud thread
i'm a musician who loves shilling himself on these threads and i remember when you could actually have nice banter in these threads
now it's people shilling their >cloud rap, chill beats projects with almost no feedback or commentary. people want to be OP so they can post their stuff and not be obliged to give feedback and the thread dies within 25 posts until it reaches 100 posts of self indulgence, which is why we have four threads that are only semi-active right now
how do we fix this?
>how do we fix this?
Pass only posting combined with strict moderation. In other words we don't.
Will mainstream music ever be this good again?
I doubt it because labels are not promoting music that's experimental. It's all about the pop hit or the "beat". Sad times we live in musically

Yes, experimentation and "pushing the boundaries" will become big in the 2020s
I just saw them in NYC and they played a lot from the new album. So damn good! Has anyone heard it yet?
>>73267820
theyre like some shitty generic pop rock "indie" band that peaked in 2008 right? lmao
I guess you've never heard them. Google is your friend.
