Why do people call the medieval period the Christian "dark ages" when catholics were setting up massive fucking organs everywhere, basically making it the first widespread musical instrument birthing the age of modern music and spread of professional grade music
because that was the only technological feat.

did not happen in the medieval period

Hey /mu/, I'm searching for some comfy radio stations you can listen to. I want to have someone talk once in a while though, not just music 24/7.
I thought of something like this
https://youtu.be/fCm7cAM1HIg
BBC Radio 6
>crank that came out 10 years ago
No... What went wrong? Where is time going?
In three years, 2000 will be 20 years ago
NOW
>>73441248
>mom and dad were upper middle class
>had a gf who used to give me cooties after class
>used to play no tackle football with friends before dinner
>parents used to give me $20 allowance a week for cleaning up my room
>now
>dad cheated on mom with a 19 yr old girl
>mom is now dating some 71 yr old guy
>all my friends are drug addicts in and out of jail
>only fatties and drug addicts want to date me
>constantly stressed out because engineering is hard AF
those were the days
YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Stop this.
>>73441238
we have a million words for those genres too desu
>>73441249
But never use them.
I really want to learn more words for electronic music. Especially because I make my own and am never certain what to call it other than simply "electronic" which is so vague and non-descriptive

Lol'd hard during the first 25 secs.
After some experiments with psychedelics in my youth I'm permanently stuck with some synesthesia. I can see the abstract visuals painted by music, get body high from it. If I concentrate I canalso hear the music coming out of paintings and pictures.
Anybody on /mu/ has synesthesia? How does it work for you? Do you make music?
Pic unrelated
how does mr bungle look like
I actually had all of this before I started experimenting with psychedelics. my theory is everyone does, but they just get older and lose touch with it.
good job OP you managed to recover a bit of your soul. you are not already pursuing music you should definitely consider it.
otherwise realize these sonic/visions are like an actual muscle you need to exercise, force yourself to listen to things just to see what you can see. life is super fucking long and boring if you don't have abilities like this. I have watched several of my high school bandmates grow up lose touch with it quit music become junkies
im synesthetic too, the kind where numbers and letters have colors. it's not as pronounced as it used to be, when i was young it was almost a curse, like a title of a book could ruin the book for me if the colors were no good. i never think of it now unless i'm titling something myself. yes i make music. none of it is on bandcamp or soundcloud anywhere and none of it is good, yet

What are some neat guitar solos (specifically for learning)? Or just guitar solos you love?
The genre/style doesn't matter and the simplicity/complexity doesn't matter. I'm just looking for solos to learn. :^)
Weird. I had it in my head that I was attracted to Hayley, but not Swift. However, if I saw them just like that IRL, I'd think Swift was the hot one.
