I don't listen to hip hop and don't know a single one and I STILL beat you.
Did they really come from poverty or did they invent these egos and sell them?

i dont know why but this is the best answer
Penitentiary chances, the devil dances, and eventually answers, to one of the dullest albums in the history of popular music. Seriously, each track featuring Kanye Omari West and his pals from GOOD Music as they rap incoherent verses is indistinguishable from the rest. Aside from the opulent production, the album’s only consistency is its lack of excitement and ineffective use of samples, all to make music unmusical, to make sound seem inert.
Perhaps the die was cast when West entertained the idea of interrupting Taylor Swift at the VMAs; she made sure that he would never decisively fade into obscurity as an artist, by ensuring ridiculous media coverage for his “music”. The Kanye West discography might be pro-Christian (or not), but it’s certainly the anti-Ludwig van Beethoven in its refusal of wonder, beauty and excitement. No one wants to face that fact. Now, thankfully, they no longer have to.
>a-at least the lyrics were good though
"No!"
The verses are dreadful; the rhyming was terrible. As I listened, I noticed that every time a verse mentioned sex, the rapper wrote instead that he “put the pussy in the sarcophagus”.
I began marking on the back of an envelope every time that phrase was repeated. I stopped only after I had marked the envelope once. I was incredulous. West’s mind is so governed by cliches and dead metaphors that he has no other style of lyricism. Later I read a lavish, loving review of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy by the same Nicki Minaj. She wrote something to the effect of, "If these kids are listening to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy at 11 or 12, then when they get older they will go on to listen to Nicki Minaj.” And she was quite right. He was not being ironic. When you listen to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, you are, in fact, trained to listen to Nicki Minaj.

Stop.
Who are the best jazz pianists out there?
In particular I'd like to know what is their best in terms of albums.
I only know Monk and Ryo Fukui .
Bill Evans for elegant, if unadventurous, impressionist music.
>>73492109
Just fyi Fukui is a meme who isn't taken seriously. His albums are YouTube recommendation-core.

Why was that red cover album spammed so hard by YT, anon?
>title track appears near the start of the album
>title track is final track
>over 10 minutes long
>FLAC on VLC with volume at %200, studio headphones.
>title track takes up entire second disk of double LP excluding a one minute ditty at the very end of the album
>Have a colllege assignment in groups
>Meet up to work
>I end up on the computer
>"Oy Anon, put on some music"
>Put progressive rock
>"Anon wtf is this shit your music sucks"
>Put what I thought was normie-friendly but decent music like Red Hot, Nujabes and Kanye's MDTF
>"Anon pass me the computer"
>They just put "BEST OF 2017 MIX" on youtube and everyone agrees it's much better
>I'm not allowed near the computer again because according to them my music sucks
I hate all fucking normies. I even tried to appeal to your horrible tastes and put up known, popular shit I don't even like that much but that I thought you would because it's popular, but since it was popular 10 years ago it sucks and it isn't worth it.
Just tell me you don't like it, not that it sucks, because it doesn't, you suck. If I don't like something good I don't go around saying "it sucks", I tell people I don't like it and don't expect a majority to validate that opinion.
God I fucking hate people
>>73491881
Why do you have to be such a sperg? The same music you played them probably took YOU few listens to get so what do you expect from them?
If you don't want to be such an autist, you gotta play them something thats really easy to catch on first listen. And there's many good songs for that.
I feel you about the music side of this but you need to just adapt and understand how to be sociable because I cringed hard reading this
>>73491968
I just wanted to show them what I liked. They didn't have to be rude. We could have just taken turns with everyone putting something they like, even if it sucked. But no, they banned me from putting music and told me what I liked sucked. If I wanted people to be mean I'd come here or would just have stayed in high school.
>>73492008
These were just the thoughts in my mind. I showed nothing of my frustration IRL and actually had a fun time working with them. But this part really fucking sucked and I'm just here venting.
Is this AOTY? It seems like it is, both critically and commercially.
>>73491697
yes pretty much
Hah, no. Shit was terrible and everyone forgot about it immediately.
Wayne, stop ruining the legacy of the Flaming Lips and release your hippie crap as a side-project next time.
>tfw you start listening to Elliot smith again 5 years later
>and you realize you're just as depressed now as you were then
So it doesn't get better then? I'm literally going to kill myself soon. Elliot was right
People actually get sad listening to him? I just like the warm sound he's got going on. I have no emotional attachment to his music otherwise.
> But Elliott was murdered

I'm going to kill myself
Whatever happened to deathcore?
>>73491489
It died.
>>73491518
Metalcore and the various 'cores within it are still alive, why did deathcore come and go so soon?

buuuump
>>73491370
lol he kicked Glen Matlock (the only member with talent) out of the Sex Pistols because he talked about Paul McCartney too much.
This is a good album but the second it finishes I completely forget everything about it.
>>73491278
i didn't listen to that album but
>second it finishes I completely forget everything about it
it's not a bad thing, it means the music has enough variation and complexity to not be remembered immediately.
I don't like this album but if you want catchy music you can listen to top 40 or p4k-core shit
>>73491394
>p4k-core shit
so this album then?
be sincere
I think JEFFERY, DS2, Culture, Bastard, Wolf, Tha Carter III, Thank Me Later, Lil Boat, My Krazy Life, and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx are all better than Liquid Swords.
Fugazi are not very good.
Trout Mask Replica is hot garbage
