was music discovered or invented?
Invented. There's a lot of science behind music theory and all, but the actual entertainment from thirds and fifths and harmonies and stuff is a derivation of the discovery of tones. So while tones and harmonies and stuff have always been around, arranging them in an entertaining way is an invention, the same way that we invented solar panels to utilize solar energy for our needs.
Invented, people discover things that were created by a force outside of their own. People invent things themselves.
If, hypothetically, all the music that exists as we know, existed somewhere else in the universe, then it would be discovery, but as we know it, it is invention.
That's my two cents

>If, hypothetically, all the music that exists as we know, existed somewhere else in the universe, then it would be discovery
Or, you know, if they just dicover the concept. Which they did, because animals have been at it for much longer.
>mfw I realise listening to Loveless is the closest feeling I'll ever get to having an innocent loving qt gf like the kind I fantasised about as a teen
>>73526372
I realised this long ago.
This gets more and more real by the day. I also feel it with pic related. What is it about shoegaze that brings this feeling so strong?
Given the state of female artists that debuted since roughly 2005, 15 years from now will people make images like this in their honor?
>>73526026
No, the Grimesfags and Carlyfags will continue to drown out any criticism of modern pop.
