Why does no one ever talk about what a masterpiece this is? Before we continue: I am entirely serious.
The Bad Rats OST has something for everyone, with its influences drawing heavenly from folk, traditional jazz, funk, to modern AND classical rock music, and even prog. If none of that appeals to you, the sheer quality of the performance of those involved and the muses and melodies included in this 21 minute masterpiece will leave you speechless.
Packing such a myriad of emotions into a 21:00 minute run time while simultaneously blending so many genres is nothing to sneeze at.
I have never had a musical experience bring me to the range of highs and lows that this album has brought to me. I challenge you to give this a listen and tell me it didn't change everything you thought you knew about music as a whole.

You didn't like it? Care to discuss with me why?
I think you might just be missing the beauty of it all. It's not just about it's inventive chord progression and fresh riffs. These are merely complimenting the grand scheme of this musical journey.
The thing is, from start to finish, this is not just music. This is something created from nothing, a fire started underwater, in the desert, with a broken magnifying glass on a cloudy day.

Sometimes a Fantasy by Billy Joel?
RELAX DONT DO IT
You find a new album and the first song is called "Intro"
Do you play it or skip it and start on the second song?
I play it, of course.
Your first listen of an album should be from start to finish, it's the intended experience.
You can skip it in subsequent plays.
>Intro is 10 minutes long
not if I'm listening to the album for the first time lol. If I wasn't listening for the first time and it was a short track, then maybe. If it was a normal-length track or longer than yeah I would play it but if it's like The Leaves Were Falling then no.
I LOOOOOOOVE YOOOUOUU JESUS CHHHRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIST

>So this Aquemini album is pretty good...
>Listening to rap that's not from NY or the West
album art looks like a poo-poo entering the toilet and that's what it sounds like too
It's pretty good but the lack of any melodies or anything beyond the neat textures really makes it forgettable
but I can tell they are earnest about it so it's still good

Pure mediocrity
It's not outright awful, but nothing stands out, and some of the lyrics and literal references are just embarrassing
What did he mean by this?
lol
that's embarrassing

>women are smarter
but its a man wearing that shirt thereby making that statement, it loses its impact.
Is it bad that I never grew out of my Metal phase? Also, that I've pretty much only listened to Metal and Punk Rock my entire life?
>inb4 metal has been a dead horse since 2005

metal has been a dead horse since 2005
Metal isn't dead but it's not a genre that is being discussed online with a lot of kindness. It's just better to hang with people from the scene who aren't memesters if you want to feel accepted for still being excited about metal.
I unironically believe that metal and punk rock are better than Jazz, Blues and Art music in general.
I can't help but think a lot of musicians today would look a lot cooler with a big mustache
What happened to that trend? Where are the mustaches?
Like every historic musician has at one point in time had a mustache
They fell out of fashion and the only people with them now are either old or hipsters.
>I can't help but think a lot of musicians today would look a lot cooler with a big mustache

HUMBLE
LUST

YAH

Almost exactly 40 minutes, which is THE perfect album time
>>73696016
why the fuck would you put duckworth first, that ruins the whole flow of the album. The whole point of blood is to show you the end during the beginning and show you how he got there.

/mu/ how do you describe the feeling produced by songs like:
>the man in me by Bob Dylan
>oh sweet nuthin by VU
>pretty much everything The Band put out
Don't know what to call the feeling. It makes me relax and kinda makes my soul warm. It feels like post-coitus lying in bed with a soft girl resting her head on your chest.
Looking for more songs that remind you of those songs. Doesn't have to be from that time period. Can be any musician from any genre in any time. It's just gotta give that feel.
>>73695906
Me again. Feel like Redbone from Bino's last album fits the bill, as different as it is from VU and the Band.
>>73695906
Fleetwood Mac. Life's Been Good by Joe Walsh. Probably some Rolling Stones.
Maybe some early Strokes? I'm thinking 12:51, Soma
Why does nobody on this website ever talk to me
