so inspiring, i am so glad this person is still alive :3 wow i hope they dont die ever, theyre going to cure baby cancer and touch many lives and I hope they don't get put down by some feral urban "gorillaz" as they curl up into the fetal position on the street and cry as hot lead explodes through their flesh

you get embarrassed too easily, but I see your point. That reddit post was written by a complete fucking moron.
look at the charts and recommend music to other people.

In order to fully break down what I'm looking for I'm going to use rock music as an example.
When I was a kid I was really drawn to edgy nu-metal (I guess) music like Linkin Park, Godsmack, Disturbed, etc.
After that I got less laughably edgy shit like Nirvana.
Then, years later, I became obsessed with post-punk almost to the point of jerking off to it.
The myriad of post-punk groups that I listened to, which didn't really have all that much in common, all had the following unifying elements:
Tasteful edge (at least more tasteful than Disturbed); Relatively obscure (your average high schooler does not know about Killing Joke); and experimental.
When I was first getting into electronic music on /mu/, I thought that electronic artists like Aphex Twin, Autechre and Burial would scratch that itch.
They did not.

Clint Mansell is a FUCKING GOD!
>>73717515
Watched Noah the other day. Best part of it was when Clint Mansell's name came up in the credits for the music.
>PWEI
and I still have yet to hear it
>>73717185
Why?
>>73717205
I've never been anywhere where it has been played and I've never made the effort myself to hear it.
This album is fucking fantastic and is discussed too rarely on /mu/. Your thoughts on it?
Should I marathon this album for the first time??
>>73717099
yeah but it is over an hour tho
>>73717090
A complete joy to listen to from start to finish, each song has its own sound and mood to it. They cover a lot of ground musically on it too.. something super noisy and heavy like deeper into movies but then they do something soft and sentimental like autumn sweater or Stockholm syndrome. It's really great
>Tfw Kanye failed us by dropping a shitty 2016 album
>Tfw Kendrick dropping the best albums of the decade
Why has Kanye fallen so hard while Kendrick is now king?
Kanye thought he could shimmy away with JDillas mystique post-death, Jay's light was too methodical so he dipped to the current underground waves to mask his lack of ingenuity. Eventually, he couldn't make anything by himself and tried to cordon off himself as a contemporary Berry Gordy/ Quincy Jones of Hip-Hop/ Rap. Unfortunately, he has mental problems and the layman is figuring out his trajectory. It's the same tired cycle of shock and awe without backing up any of his outlandish comparisons of himself of greats that came before without putting in the footwork by himself in the same caliber of the craft. He could have shut his mouth not have ever had do deal with any of the bullshit he brought on himself.
Nigga u answered ur own question

Kind of.
But that doesn't explain Kanye end.
