>expected a dark and depressing album
>its all okay until The Big Gloom
>then it turns into fucking EDM
Why did you lie to me /mu/?
>>73722123
>he fell for the meme

>>73722123

>I wear black on the outside cause black is how I feel on the inside

>>73722060
Morrissey invented emo.

What equalizer settings are best for general listening, especially loud listening?
>>73721968
none
don't fuck with the eq if you don't know shit about it.
thats whats the label pays ppl to master/mix for .
>>73721980
>boosts and cuts frequencies to change the experience of the music
what else is there to know? I'm using the simplified spotify EQ anyway
>>73721998
then experiment with it yourself.
Why does /mu/ never talk about the current gods of electronic music production?
love these guys, biggest inspiration for my music, Jon Hopkins is close behind
>>73721895.
You have to be aware that /mu/ is mostly filled with ignorant ameritards who live in a narrow musical comfort zone, that's why dnb/neurofunk is almost exclusively in UK/Europe.
i'm liking the /bleep/ inspired posts on /mu/ lately keep it up
Say what you want, this guy has something about him that wipes the floor with every other working modern rock guitarist right now.
If this guy is let loose he actually has his own voice, it goes beyond psychedelic blues. For all you contrarians that are desperately looking for something unique in playstyle, this guy has it.
Hes also batshit insane and witty. Hes also almost deaf and will kick your ass if you dont crank that monitor to max. Name anyone that isnt Derek Trucks who is pushing boundaries in his respective genre right now.
>>73721837
Derek Trucks
I'm with you OP.
One of my biggest influences
>dude The Beatles were so innovative and experimental
>have you heard I Am The Walrus? it's so WEIRD and PSYCHEDELIC
show them tomorrow never knows, or even better revolution 9
>>73721808
Well, I Am The Walrus was pretty weird and psychedelic for the time it was recorded, and still is.
For me, the golden age of rock was cut short by the success of the Beatles, which could be dated either 1964 or 1966. UK artists had contributed important hits to the pop field—but the triumph of the Beatles formula shifted pop away from the breakthrough of the late Fifties. The Beatles were essentially a music-hall “kid” act, limited to a four-square, discrete-pitch vocabulary. (They knew American ethnic music only by rumor.) They found and crystallized the segment with the best numbers—early teens who wanted something more bland than actual rock. At this point, the regime of maximum sales backfired, as one might well have expected it to.
The “youth” craze of the Sixties became increasingly dubious (from flower power to Altamont), and the Beatles and their imitators morphed, leading their fans to a mystique of consumerist dissipation. (Carnaby Street and “Yellow Submarine.”) For me, the Beatles’ consummate song was “Revolution,” which begins “If you wanna make a revolution, count me out.” It served as the anthem for all the mediocrities who responsed to the stresses of the late twentieth century by embracing institutional co-optation.
In Tyler's latest single he keeps referencing Teslas and Elon Musk. Along with Jay Z, Kanye, Kendrick. What the fuck is their obsession with Elon?
2chainz said on his new album smth like "i just bought a tesla, you got nothing left in your tank"
>>73721762
elon musk is a con artist who doesn't know shit about space. hes the alan watts of buddhism. so of course dumbasses like rappers who ppl want to think their cultured and smart start referencing elon musk
>>73721762
he's cool I guess
>blessed with Mercury-tier charisma

>>73721660

The only good members of the Wu are Rae, Meth, ODB, RZA, and Inspectah Deck. Prove me wrong.
>>73721561
how about action bronson?
>no Ghostface
you fucked up op
This isn't actually that good of an album, you realize that right? It's teenybopper's first "le wrong generashun" album when they hit the hipster/"I love vinyls"/"older stuff was so much better!" phase. Don't get me wrong it's decent but it's like a 7.5/10 tops.
>b-but it was influential!
Who cares? The first person to shit in a hole and cover it up instead of shitting on the surface was influential too. What's your point?
OP post best post
>>73721551
I'd say 8/10
I personally like Smiley Smile better
>>73721551
im a beach boys fan so I can get away with loving this.
What is the dumbest album cover art you have ever seen?
You were a great #1
You can't listen to the other again. Which one would you choose?
>>73721416
Saturation easily.
Why is that even a question?
>>73721416
Saturation, no contest. Only good songs on the new Vince album are the songs produced by Sophie.
>>73721416
Big Fish easily.
Why is that even a question?
It's that time again!
Time to show the music you've listened to over the past week!
>>73721381
Ugh so much pop... why do you always listen to so much pop?
>>73721381
You seem like a cool guy. Would be friends.
>>73721466
Why thank you!
You seem cool too.
Why can't this man discuss or review anything /bleep/ related properly? Does he just hate electronic shit?
He can't discuss anything metal related properly neither
I don't think he can discuss anything that isn't shitty rap
>>73721258
He's just ignorant about it, like most music.
he's american
don't be too hard on him, i don't care if he reviews some things without knowing too much about them, it gives a different view and that still has a lot of value IMHO
