The record label executives are wallowing in their billions of dollars. Rappers also masquerade as being from the ghetto. They need credibility with their patrons. Jay Z is almost a billionaire who won't even donate any of his money to all his people who are living in squalor. Jay Z and his wife Beyoncé (the same Beyoncé who needs a number of "professional song writers" to write her crappy songs) would rather engage in debauchery. Jay Z, Lil Wayne, and 50 Cent are all shills to the music executives who sell shit to the masses and laugh all the way to the bank.

The fiscal conservatives are peddling rap. People who run big businesses may only be liberal on social issues, but are fiscally conservative when it comes to their own money. Neoliberal Democratic mayors used police brutality on the Occupy Wall Street movement just like the Republican mayors did. If those mayors were real liberals they would have never sent the police to harm the protesters and tear down their camps which were on public property. Democratic mayors and governors don't want to raise income taxes on the rich just like their Republican counterparts. They instead generate money by instilling regressive taxes on the poor and middle class by raising sales taxes and fleecing citizens with toll bridges. Bill Gates is the one of the biggest proponents of the H1B visa program which displaces American workers with his preposterous globalization beliefs.

Most rap music has very hateful and degrading lyrics. The lyrics are facsimilies of Republican talking points. Just observe all the racism, misogyny, homophobia, greed, and the glorification of guns and violence. It is the same vitriol as the crap on Fox News and AM radio. MTV is a propaganda machine that indoctrinates young people just like Fox News indoctrinates old people. Viewers of both channels are bereft of critical thinking skills. The demagogues sow this so they can have millions of bamboozled dupes who buy their corporate crap that nobody needs (i.e., Gap, Old Navy, Hollister). An addled population will always kowtow and genuflect to those in authority. Conformists treat authority figures with deference. Conformists will always defend the status quo because they are flunkeys. In the age of the internet, a person has to be intellectually lazy not to find music that is not mainstream.

Rap is a tool to dumb down the masses. It promotes materialism, narcissism, greed, conformity, sexism, racism, guns, and senseless violence. All of those values are conservative Christian values. Even though conservative Christians don't like rap, it is the fiscal conservatives who foist rap as some "liberal" art form when that is the polar opposite of what liberalism stands for (i.e. peace, civil rights, tolerance, equality of opportunity). Rap is used to brainwash Democrats the same way Fox News/Rush Limbaugh/AM Hate Radio brainwashes Republicans. The liberals and Democrats who are being imbibed by these right wing values in music and pop culture would otherwise not be exposed to them because they don't watch/listen to Fox News/Rush Limbaugh/AM Hate Radio. Since rap is conflated with liberalism, people who don't know better are being exploited. Instead of protesting social injustice, it is more convenient for most people to shop and buy import junk from slave wage Communist countries which stomps on human rights such as China.
