Greatest of them all
It's their most consistent album, but it's not even my top 5 Beatles albums. There's something about this album that makes me not like it as much as I should, it's a flawless album.

newfag here, why's this shit so highly regarded around here? It's like 8/10 at best.
>>73839248
That's why you are a newfag. Listen to it more. After the 5th play through it was (and still is) my favourite album ever.
This album is regarded as a meme here. Listen to albums you actually like.

Any death metal.

>album from the 70s
It must be great. thanks.
In "Paperhouse" I thought the lyrics were "You just can't get back no more, you just can't get back no more", like it was talking about a really bad trip on psychedelic drugs that you want it to end but you can't, so I searched for the lyrics and it was actually "You just can't give them no more".
>>73838518
just fyi, those are all equally possible interpretations with damo's lyrics. he made most of them up on the spot, so it very well could be "you just can't get back no more"

How can a board like this that purports to be one full of true music fans always talks about objectively inferior popular music that has so little analytical value thus so little for a user to engage with? Even when it comes to writers/comentators on music, it's always pop journalists like Christgau, Scaurffi, P4K, and Fantano. Never legitimate musicology articles that truly discover how music affects us and why. Sure, there's a /classical/ thread, but it's just a minority when it should be the majority and thus not a lot of discussion is even happening there it's just stupid memes like the rest of this board.
>>73838094
Have to agree actually. Rock/hip hop/electronic music are fun to listen to sometimes but never really worth discussing or analyzing in any depth.
It's really sad how little discussion or even mention of classical and jazz there is on /mu/.
>>73838094
Why are you picking on the guy? It's not his fault he just found a "patrician music" list on RYM: a lot of people do that and don't even post on /mu/.
>>73838255
I was using that pic as an example of music that should be discussed on /mu/ though. And the pic kinda proves my point of the "not a lot of discussion and stupid memes" bit based on where its been posted as well.

>the same person who tells you hip-hop isn't music will probably also say punk rock is music
>>73837977
I agree with your statement.
>>73837977
So you think punk rock isn't music?
You're just as retarded as the person that says hip hop isn't music.
