>tfw 3 meme rap albums from this decade have knocked this album and Hounds of Love out of top 100 on RYM
Why do you care about what other people like
Well neither really have a place there, pedestrian art-pop and this indulgent snoozefest aren't all they are cracked up to be and besides, you're projecting your own racism into the situation by immediately discarding them as meme rap, an ironic buzzword people used a joke like three years ago.
>>73885721
You may be right about those albums but rap, memetic or not, is nothing but pointless nigger noise and it's laughable to pretend otherwise.
Is rap music pure bullshit?
>>73885613
It's more innovative than rock music
>>73885613
Rap is a level above poetry, since it’s not just about the words. It’s also about the rhythm that the words are arranged into, which most of the time is more intricate than any conventional poem
>>73885613
more like (C)rap lmao
has anyone else ever BTFO /mu/ as hard as this?
https://rateyourmusic.com/list/Qwerty100/the-hipster-collection/
>>73885462
/mu/ has been beaten up exactly this hard countless times, they don't care though because we "just don't get it".
>implying anyone started listening to either Davis, Coltrane, or Mingus because they have "post" in their genre name
Kek
I truly don't understand why someone would dislike wl/wh

Is she the break out pop star of 2017?
I'd like to POP something into her if you know what I mean
>>73885599
not really?
>>73885599
I would like to seal my lips around her chili ring, suck a fart out of her ass, and hold it in like a bong rip, if you catch my drift

Post the true gem in an artists discography.
>>73885285
Is this album supposed to be panned hard to the right, or did I just get a faulty rip?
I even thought my headphones were acting up

Is it just me or is this album so mediocre compared to some of Bowie's other albums? It's decent pop rock at best in my opinion but many people think it's his best.
>>73885163
Wouldn't call it mediocre by any means but I definitely like his later albums more. Even by Bowie standards its still a good album.
>>73885163
It really depends what people enjoy. If they like glam Bowie, I see why this one is their fave.
it's just you.

What does /mu/ think of the opener and closer to the album? I like the opener but I think the closer is lacklustre and maybe the worst song on the album. I like the little vocal sample in it though.
I'm glad Tyler only included a couple aggressive tracks. I think they're both pretty good and contrast the rest of the album nicely, but I prefer the more laid back stuff.
IMO this is not a good album. But it's also the album everyone seems to base their opinions of blackgaze on. There are so many strong bands in the genre, like Woods of Desolation, Oathbreaker, Alcest, and An Autumn for Crippled Children, and I feel that they're done a disservice by metalheads dismissing them as a group, based purely on Sunbather. The blackgaze genre is actually surprisingly strong on average.
>>73885112
blackgaze is just shitty postrock
>>73885121
No, and you're literally dumb for saying that.
Blackgaze as a genre is pretty dull. There are good albums dotted around but the style itself doesn't lend itself to variety and experimentation since it's such a tight niche.
*deletes album*
*undeletes album*
>he can't into corny 90s dance-pop synths
*deletes panties*
What's your opinion on their more recent stuff?
I'll say that I feel it's at the same level as their old stuff, at least what was with Dickinson
>>73885016
half of Book of Souls is good
most of Final Frontier is good
most of Matter of Life and Death sucks
Brave New World and Dance of Death are great
>>73885043
I like their new stuff but I don't think it can compare to anything from Iron Maiden to Somewhere in Time. Seventh Son on is a matter of taste
Thoughts on Paramore?
Surprisingly patrician emo pop music
>>73884957
Surprisingly hot
she's hot
