Who is the greatest musician of our millenial lifetimes and why is it pic related?
>>73818057
I confuse him with elton john
>>73818057
He's not a millennial musician. He belongs to the boomers & Xers.
What on earth are these guys so popular for? Just wondering before diving into their music
making noise rock without pussy footing or feeling inadquate
>>74047563
Early swans pretty much pioneered no wave/noise rock
Middle swans made some pretty good gothic rock
And the swans now made cathardic hypnotic long ass pieces of music (which is their best imo)
Make sure you listen to their stuff in chronological order
>>74047563
Pretty much what >>74048170 said. If you're into folk/noise/post rock/industrial music there's probably an album in their catalog for you

Pretty good, and he seems like he's a genuinely good bloke as well, even if he's physically turned into Moby
Anyone got Steve's new album?

Who cares. Reznor is a misanthropic modern diva. He's like a copy of a copy of a poster of a remake of himself, and none of his reincarnated copies can tell him if any of them were ever real. The existential dude* needs to read some books get some material. Also, he needs to expunge his vocals from his music, and stop posing so much. Grow up, you're not 20 anymore, have some respect. .................................Sorry gents, but, admit it. He's washed up. Peace be to him, thanks for the 90's and all that jazz. But, once the drug clean up crew comes in. It's over. I know. What a negative SOB. Well, @##$ it, at least it's honest.
Hello 2001, how are you?

I really like the great alt-right musical artist, Lorde. She makes great alt-right musical.
I've been a fan of Frank since channel Orange and Blonde was probably my favorite album from last year. However Endless never really appealed to me all that much. There are some really good songs like the Isley Brothers cover and Rushes, but for hte most part the album seems to be a bunch of interludes and unfinished short songs. Yet, I see people favoring it over Blonde, which to me seems like a lot more work and thought was put in into making it a well-rounded body of work. Is there something I'm just not getting, or are people just being contrarian for contrarians sake?
idk about other people's feelings on the content of the two albums themselves
but as is my understanding, endless was a "give this to the label i hate working with to fulfill my two-album contract so i can release blonde on my own terms" kinda deal so it makes sense that of the two endless would be the less fully realized album imo
>tfw you realize that music peaked ~50 years ago and it will never come close again

music has been downhill since 1989
