Legit question.
If 9/11 never happened and everyone remained happy, would edgy music like Linkin Park have been as successful as it was in the early 2000s?
all that shit started in the early 90s because people had the luxury of whining before the bottom fell out on enforced geopolitical stasis
if 9/11 never happened they would've been popular for even longer
also fuck you tripfag
If it wasn't for 9/11 they may have been even more successful. Not long after the attack some record labels pulled their artists from world tours for security reasons. I don't know if Linkin Park were directly affected but it would have had some effect on festivals around the world that they may have been going to.

You must have been born sometime around 1999. Anyone who can remember the 90s knows that popular culture was far more mopey and angsty then than it is now (fuck knows why though).
Linkin Park was far more in tone with the culture before 9/11 than it was after it. Even when Linkin Park was at their most popular they felt like somewhat of an anachronism
how the fuck did these three absolute madmen live to their 70s?

Is there anyone else out there who thinks this is his best album? Also Coltrane general
It's actually Live in Japan
I think it's one of his best, better than Ascension, but A Love Supreme holds a special place in my heart
I like Sanders' tenor work on this, but I wish the rest of the instruments were more audible
Meditations is most intense. Check out First Meditations. and Offering Live at Temple University. One of my favorite Trane albums is Sunship.

As a rule I try not to listen to the same music as my sisters because they're annoying and I don't want them to taint the meaning/experience for me. My older sister loves Carly Rae Jepsen so I've avoided listening to Carly Rae Jepsen, but I heard this song by mistake and I can't stop thinking about it. It's possibly one of the best songs ever made. I love it so much. Please stop me, /mu/, because I can't stop myself.
