I used it as a break-up album one summer. I listened to it literally every single day. But anyway, despite this being the meme album (with All-Star and... well, All-Star) its actually pretty good desu. What's surprising is the wide variety of styles and genres the band dabbles in, from lounge to spacey shit to reggae to the all-encompassing buttrock. I would argue that it has great production, and the song-writing isn't as bad as you'd expect. I think anybody who doesn't take them seriously should at least give it a listen (though I think Fush Yu Mang is probably their best album.)

I legit love Astro lounge. It's solid pop fun cover to cover.

And yes, I listened to all their albums and Japan was making the same but better new-wave/synthpop before

I do like Japan (listening to Methods of Dance right now in fact) but Visage always seemed as though they had something extra, maybe more variation in their style or maybe it's their ability to sound strangely lively even when singing about fairly miserable things like in The Damned Don't Cry.
