I'll admit I dished out a little extra for the Pet Sounds with the fuzzy cover.

/mu/-core when?
We need an ironic /mu/-core chart
>>73951332
That's just the /mu/core chart
>>73951332
I would laugh my ass off seeing white people banging to this kind of music in a car.
What are the best places to find and discuss music on the internet. /mu/ is the best i know of but there has to be something better than this, right?

RYM lists are pretty good

r/music is great

Audiosurf is amazing, especially high.
Sadly, many songs are very boring to play simply due to their structure and how the game reacts to it.
What are your favourite albums that are good to play through?
If you don't play the game: what's your favourite game with a high tempo/intensity?
honestly i consider audiosurf a letdown, both from the perspective of pure gameplay mechanics (wtf is this block grid grouping shit even for) and in terms of translating the music into a track (although that wasn't totally unsuccessful it's hardly consistent). idk that's just me tho sorry for debbie downing on your thread
>>74094953
The game could be much better, yes. I haven't tried Audiosurf 2 but it didn't seem to improve upon anything anyway.
Regardless, it's pretty great for me to make sure I focus on the music. It helps me appreciate some genres that I normally wouldn't care about.
There are sadly very few decent music-related games out there.
Frances the Mute is a pretty good album to play. Also if you Have Audiosurf 2 try the Retrowave skin.
Who are these guys? Looks like this is a poster for a music festival, but I don't recognize this band.

It seems I am literally retarded.
What's /mu/'s honest opinion on Future?

i love future for many reasons
unnghhuudddnuunnghhhuuunnsnshurrrddn nigga turrrrnuuunghumbluuungh nigga *kill bill siren*
Why do normies like him so much? His music is alright
Because his music is alright.
It's inoffensive and catchy enough to be popular, but also quirky and "underground" enough to give listeners the idea that liking his music gives them better taste than their peers. Hence why Chance is adored mainly by 16 year olds just getting into hip-hop and sorority basic bitches with tumblr accounts. It's basically music for normies who try too hard to prove they aren't normies while calling other similar people normies on the internet.
Of course I'm generalizing but it's mostly true.

this nigga gets it
Alright this might sound silly, but is there anything out there like the turret opera at the end of Portal 2?
https://youtu.be/_kPyGvqNn4Y
That is: opera vocals with a more modern twist
did /mu/ improve your life?
no??

Crack-Up is NOT the deconstructive new classic everyone thinks it is, too hit and miss. I love the first two though.
>>73950826
Thisx1000. Crack-Up has a lot of great ideas but the execution is such shit. Most of all the songs just fall apart.
>go out to see live show out of boredom
>be amazed by band's sound and performance
>buy album by them
>sounds nothing like what I heard
What am I supposed to do? Tell them I'll buy their album after I download it first and decide whether I like their studio sound? Offer to record a live album for them? Buy a fucking t-shirt? What if they don't have those?
The loudness was simulating quality
>>73951069
Actually the studio production did more to emphasize loudness over quality more than anything. I'm convinced that the engineer at the live house is a genius.
If they sound bad and have made a bad album that sucks for them. You paid the price of admission and got what you paid for. If they've got nothing else that's not your fault
