This is the best album ever made.
Everything else is shit compared.
>Perfect guitar tone
>Perfect lyrical delivery
>Great rhythm
>Best artwork
Prove me wrong
Protip: You can't
BTW this is the only punk album ever made. Everything after or before is worthless.

Do you think the overwhelming negative response to One More Light had anything to do with Chester's suicide?
He did tell people who didn't like it to "fucking kill yourselves"

>He did tell people who didn't like it to "fucking kill yourselves"
did he really say that? if so, then i could care less about his death. fuck him then

>Bennington suggested that those people who criticised the album should "stab [themselves] in the face".[57][50][58] Similarly, in a separate interview with Kerrang, Bennington, in response to claims of selling out with the album, responded "I will punch you in your fucking mouth ... You're a fucking pussy."
Wow, what a dick
What's the best song you've heard lately?

anyone wanna talk technique? stuff that makes up your style. i use the kevin shields glide guitar stuff a lot. i'm also a gig fan of using jazz chords to create the dreamy effect. i use my amps preamp out and power amp in to send a cleanish single from my pre amp to a boost pedal, and then to the power amp. i get more power amp distortion from it and it makes large chords sound clearer even with a lot of distortion.
I don't get it, it all sounds the same?
Can someone please help me get it.
Your expectations are too high

Can we talk about djent for a bit? About a year ago I remember it (specifically Meshuggah) being jerked off to hell and back but nobody seems to talk about it now
Out of all the djent bands I've listened to, TesseracT is the only one I genuinely enjoy. They're the only one that transcends all the mathiness and chugging and actually has interesting songwriting and a sense of emotion in their music.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg4pB6a-FvU
That being said, I think The Contortionist has a lot of potential
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIDEzd6dYe8
Also, Meshuggah's Nothing is an undisputed classic.
>>73956085
TesseracT is really great. Altered state is a classic imo. I tend to enjoy progressive metal with djent elements more as well as punk/math rock with djent elements.
>>73955779
is meshuggah even djent?
I could have sworn djent was everything that came after them
Hey anons, I'm drunk on a Saturday night, what's the best feel music that will make me feel holy and empty on the inside.

hollow and empty i mean.
the antlers, probably

Some Tom Waits if you really want to get in that sad gutter music mood
So no one else is going to say it? I have to do it?
Face it, he only killed himself to seem deep and to try to be immortalized. Lots of musicians have done this and even subpar writers like DFW. He wanted to secure his legacy now that his band has long burned out. He wasn't depressed, thinking deeply about existence, or suffering any abuse or financial struggle.
Stop glorifying him. He was a loser and his suicide (not true, by the way) proved it, just like it did for all those other mediocre artists who were desperate to be remembered and glorified.
What's your favorite fruit, /mu/?

honestly if I looked like Elliott I would kill myself too

there already is a meta thread. only one at a time.
>>73955648
1. I hate the fuckbois who complain in every single thread that isn't slightly music related. Sorry, diversity of content is a good thing and keeps traffic on the board.
2. I hate the inconsistency of our god damn memes. Taste and /mu/core use to be great and now it's just a muddled mess.
3. I hate every single XXXTentacion and Lil Yachty thread where people actually consider them to be good artists with future potential.
4. I hate how nobody on /mu/ knows a god damn thing about Jazz. Every jazz thread sucks.
5. I genuinely hate the racists. It's not cool, man.
