Why is it ok for rappers to do commercials but not rock bands? People like Chance the Rapper and Vince Staples do mainstream commercials and no one cares. If an indie/rock artist did this everyone would flip their shit.

First and foremost you should learn how to properly produce vocals. What kind of mic are you using? Have you EQed them yet? Have you applied any reverb?
