> Robert Christgau writing in The Village Voice, called it "a bad record, a classic form/content mismatch

HAAAANDS

I like christgau for the most part. But he has a massive hate boner for paul with petty criticisms, he probably blames him for the beatles' breakup. Meanwhile he showers le poor edgy tortured soul John in plaudits when his only worthwhile album is probably plastic ono band.

Christgau was literally just the edgy /mu/ contrarian of the 20th century.
When did you realize this was their best song?

I started hurting fish after I heard this bop
Pro tip: any song by the name of Paper Cut or Paper Cuts is really bad.

Dude come on the Nirvana version is just an endurance round since it's so long.

WHY THEY WANNA SEE MY SPINE, MOMMY?
Always thought that was one of Ween's most overrated songs. Buenas Tardes, on the other hand, needs to be reevaluated because that's one of Ween's best imo.
What is this /mu/?

I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and I laughed
Are these the gayest lyrics of all time?
>>74032730
Pretty sure there are lyrics that are literally about sucking dick.
More like this please. Not too emo

That's the one flaw with the album - there is nothing else like it. You will wonder the music scene trying to find anything that compares and people will half-heartedly recommend Fugazi or ATDI because they're post-hardcore and must automatically be similar. In reality there simply isn't another album that blends D.C. post-hardcore with almost game-like synthesizers, funk-inspired bass and sci-fi atmosphere.

What have you been listening to lately?

I love bad brains!
Finally got into outkast with this album. Not sure why it's taken me so long.
So I was listening to this

And while its a joke song, it made me think of this:
Why is there no real right leaning indie folk song musicians I know of?
I don't care much about politics, but I love the genre, and I got kind of tired having the same type of political message in every single one, so I feel like it would help me reduce my genre burnout by finding some music on the other end of the political spectrum.
Any suggestions?
I would also like some, I'll bump.
>>74032542
Because right leaning people don't waste time writing music and releasing it unless it's country
At best, they play the guitar quietly to themselves
The album cover uses mainly blue and yellow and has a girl in a cap and gown looking towards the right.
