don't come to /mu/ much but I came to see the discussion and memes about Chester. Saw a couple other threads and quickly realized this is one of the worst places on the internet to discuss music. No one even knows anything about music from a technical standpoint and so many people seem to have massive genre barriers (a completely pointless and abstract characteristic to have).
Why do you hang out here?
You literally just figured this out?
I just come here for /classical/ and /jazz/ at least in those threads there's a bit of musical discussion, even if it goes as far as "I like this, you might like this too"
I've stopped wanting to discuss music in general, real life or online. Too many stupid people.

>real life
yeah that's always been a shit endeavor. there's no established cultural norms for discussing music in person and it's tiring having to listen to your friend show you a trash song.
>>74052198
I usually want a little more discussion when it comes to music. Music discussion - especially in real life - feels like small talk and it's cringy to be a part of. Most of the people I've ever had the discomfort of speaking to about music can for some reason never go further than "haha, I like it" Just becomes incredibly awkward if you go any further than that.
>acting like i was part of your property-ty-ty
>implying you didn't think your ram crashed and the pc will give blue screen in a few seconds

"Unlike so many rappers who were independent intellectuals pretending to be crowd-pleasers, the Fugees were fundamentally crowd-pleasers who pretended to be independent intellectuals."
>What did he mean by this?
I'm thinking that he's implying a mos def is a pretentious nigga while gucci mane is quite the genius
this is unironically and objectively a brilliant album
>>74051728
I liked it a lot better than the previous one. Un Beso, Tim & Tina, and Forget Me Not are my favorite songs on the album.
>>74051786
Yeah
Lost Girls and Heartache City are also great
Rihanna is actually extremely attractive when she isnt acting like a complete nignog

Is this his best album?
Absolutely not
No. He has plenty of better albums.
Hybrid Noisebloom
Antimonument
Aqua Necromancer
Door Open at 8AM
And a few more. Pulse Memein' isn't bad, but the Merzman has a lot more variety.
Why does /mu/ hate Marina? Electra Heart is a good album.

>>74051664
Electra Heart is easily her worst album. Not bad, but not amazing.
Family Jewels > Froot >> Electra Heart
Why is she so fucking good?
What are all those chords? DId she make this shit up?
I can't play this on guitar but I sure love listening to it.
Just "discovered" Hejira - just amazing. Where has this been all my life?
I really only know Hissing of Summer Lawns and Blue - what else am I missing?
she's better than the furry hat dude, who was pretty good himself
