who was the best screamer of the 60s? I'd say it's either jim morrison or paul mccartney

And in the end, it doesn't really matters
rip blur ;'(
So, they're pretty much done now, right?
They are shameless sellouts and there is too much money behind that name, they are not done at all

Thank God

I don't see it. His voice was pretty much synonymous with the band itself. I can imagine then releasing a 'Greatest Hits' kind of album in honor of Chester, but beyond that I think they're over.
>60s/70s non-pop band writes a song that takes a dig at The Beatles
When do you think they'll hit peak annoying? At least with reflektor they were only half way up their asses.
Maybe they'll get so far up their own asses that their next album theyll come full circle out their mouths and just make something like funeral again.

They're allowed to be up their own asses like they were on Reflektor if they're just *that* good, and I think they were on that album.
It feels different with EN. It doesn't really feel like an AF album so far, and the singles haven't been quite up to their previous standards.
Where Reflektor was serious, EN just seems snarky. Hopefully they either go back to being serious, or even better, they cut back on the social commentary and go back to more personal topics.

i thought suburbs had some good singles, relektor i did not enjoy, not even the singles. this new shit, i can't even enjoy.
i find myself wondering if i even liked this band in the first place.

Funny, I enjoyed Reflektor more than Suburbs on the whole. Suburbs is overlong and the only tracks I remember standing out were the title track, Ready to Start, and Sprawl II. The rest seemed repetitive and dedicated to the suburbs idea to a fault.
I like the production and instrumentation (dem synths) on Reflektor more, and the whole back half is fucking sublime.
ITT: we post sp00ky moments in albums
I'll start
YLAOM - Poledo
I just came to post that Chester has 6 kids from 2 women.
What does /mu/ Think of The Meat Puppets?

II and Up on the Sun are masterpieces.
They probably have the biggest jump in quality between 2 albums of all time. Going from S/T, which is an over all generic and forgettable hardcore punk album, to the delirious, raw, and beautiful sounds of II, is just astonishing.
Best song is I'm a Mindless Idiot
Opinions on temple of the dog.
In special: say hello to heaven.
Idk why but i find it a fantastic song
awful album. also that cover looks like some nick jr shit.
That's a really bad cover
My favorite album to come out of the 90s, then again I only listen to rock. I'm so glad I made that tour.

I agree about the cover tho
Edwyn Collins sounds almost exactly like Stewie from Family Guy. I'm amazed they haven't made a cut away joke about it yet, being as they've made one about everything else:

he sounds like the pop from ren and stimpy
Does /mu/ like Roky Erickson?
it's a clear night for love

these are 10/10 lyrics now. you can't deny this.
inb4 P4K gives Hybrid Theory a 10 for this week's Sunday review and writes some shit about how LP defined the 2000s generation

Replace Collison Course with A Thousand Suns and this is a good list
Electronic music was so cool and innovative in the 90's and early 00's. It seems like music from the future. Nowadays modern 2010's electronic music pales in comparison to hip hop and rock acts. For example named an electronic album as influencial as To Pimp My Butterfly or Blackstar. You can't.
What happened?
ok i usually dont like saying this but this is total rockism
Stop listening to the Beatles
Listen to Flo and Eddie.
